Type stared morosely at his bottle of beer, wondering how things had gotten to that point. He'd thought his relationship with Tharn had been going pretty smooth, much unlike the early days when he'd been too scared to be open about them being boyfriends. Type thought they were happy. Hell, he'd been happy!

But Tharn...

"You're so caught up in football and your friends, you don't have much time for me anymore," Tharn's voice was quiet, though the hurt rang through clearly.

Type swallowed hard. "I-I'm sorry, Tharn. I didn't realize-"

"You forgot our anniversary. Did you know that?" Tharn interrupted him, gesturing to the calendar on the bedside table.

Type stared at it stupidly. How had he managed to forget that?? He'd set little reminders on his phone, and had even bought Tharn a gift ahead of time! Then he remembered, Champ had been messing with his phone the week before, a mischievous smirk on his face. Type hadn't noticed anything off with his phone at first glance, so figured Champ had just been pretending.

That idiot!

"You barely touch me anymore," Tharn continued, not noticing the furious expression on Type's face. "You don't talk to me much these days, and our interests are growing farther and farther apart."

"W-what are you saying??" The fury swiftly morphed into dread and intense sadness. Type could feel tears forming in his eyes.

Tharn sighed, looking away. "I think...I think we need a break, and figure out what it is that we really want right now."

"I want you," Type blurted, cursing himself for his 'speak before thinking' gut reaction.

Tharn gave him a soft smile tinged with sadness. "That's nice to hear. But it's not enough anymore."

Type lifted the bottle to his lips, though he didn't drink it. He sighed, setting it back down on the table, and rubbed tiredly at his temples. He still couldn't see where he'd gone wrong. Tharn hadn't complained about his busy schedule before! So why was it such a big deal now??

Besides! Tharn had no room to talk about Type being busy! Wasn't he the one who had to go to numerous band practices? And he was now involved in the city orchestra. All that took a lot more time than just football!

"Type, I got your Line."

Type barely acknowledged Techno as he slid into the seat across the table from him. "Mm."

Techno's brow furrowed. "You weren't really clear about why you wanted to meet. Is something wrong?"

Type gave a bitter laugh. "You could say that."

"I'll help however you need me to," Techno offered, hating seeing his best friend in such pain.

Type rubbed the tears out of his eyes. "That jerk, Tharn...he..." He sucked in a deep breath. "He...broke up with me."

"WHAT??" Techno took no notice of the people turning to stare at him funny for his loud outburst. "Why??? You didn't do anything!"

"Exactly. I didn't do anything."

Techno frowned harder. "I don't get it..."

Type fiddled with the neck of his bottle, not meeting Techno's gaze. "Apparently, I'm not around enough, I don't touch him enough, and I spend more time with my friends and playing football. Oh," he humorlessly smiled. "And the cherry on top is I forgot our anniversary."

Techno's eyes widened. "Really??"

"Yup. It was Champ's fault, but it still came down on me."

"How'd Champ do that??"

"He messed with my phone last week, and turned off all my special alarms and reminders."

"That's messed up! But," Techno folded his arms, leaning back in his seat. "That's not your fault. Did Tharn let you explain?"

Type shook his head, brushing his hair out of his face. "Maybe it's better this way...he can find someone who is pursuing a career in music like he is...someone who's touchy-feely..."

"Whoever he dates after you will be a huge downgrade," Techno muttered.

Type managed to hear that, even with all the noise in the bar and how soft Techno had spoken. He lifted his head back up, smiling at his friend. "Thanks."

"Anytime. So," Techno glanced at the bar. "We drinking our sorrows tonight?"

"What sorrows do you have?" Type rested his cheek on his palm, blinking tiredly at Techno.

"I got shot down again," Techno grumped, wrinkling his nose cutely.

"Girls are stupid," Type snorted, lifting his bottle in the air as a sarcastic self-toast.

Techno laughed. "I'll agree with that, at least for tonight."

"I'll go order a couple more bottles," Type offered, sliding off the chair and walking towards the bar. He came back not two minutes later, holding a bottle in each hand. He handed one to Techno. "Drink up, my friend. There's more where that came from."

"To stupid girls," Techno held his bottle towards Type.

Type huffed a laugh and clinked his own beer against Techno's. "Yeah, and stupid ex-boyfriends."

They grinned at each other, taking a swig of their beers.

Okay, this isn't regular size chapter like I usually write, I know. But this is like the introduction into the wacky mess Techno and Type get themselves into. :P

I hope I can do this ghostship justice. I did my damnedest for ChampTechno, so I'm pretty confident with TypeTechno.

FYI, they will be a switch couple. ^_^ Meaning? They top each other. Lol.

Lemme know how I'm doing! Leave a comment for me about what I could do differently, or what ghostship you'd like to see! (I'm doing TootaBright after this. Already have a book cover and everything.)

See y'all in the next chapter!

Allonsy~
