Due to the holiday the day before, Olivia couldn't make it to the bank to deposit her check. Now, the day after Thanksgiving and her Friendsgiving with all of her college friends, Olivia could finally cash her check so she could afford to buy the pies that her newly married friends had asked her to bring.
"What is taking so damn long?" A man huffed as he stood at the back of the line. Olivia ignored his inability to stay calm enough and went back to looking at her list to decide exactly what type of pies she should get. After skipping breakfast and lunch, all she could focus on was eating.
Olivia moved forward in line as she glanced over the shoulder of the tall man in front of her. She sighed as she realized how much longer she'd truly be waiting just to get money into her almost empty bank account.
"Next!" A teller called, and as the man in front of Olivia was moving to the booth, the angry man at the back of the line stomped forward and cut the whole line.
"Excuse me, but-" The man just behind Olivia started, but the angry man pulled out a gun.
"I wouldn't do that if I was you." He growled, before pointing his gun at the ceiling and letting out a warning shot.
Olivia gasped as she protected her head from anything that was falling from the ceiling.
"If y'all don't mind, please empty your pockets and drop all of your money into this bag!" The man smiled, before pointing his gun at Olivia.

Pockets and purses were emptied and jewelry was dropped into a very dirty pillowcase. Then it was just a waiting game as they waited for cops to show up or for one of those being held hostage to freak out and get them all killed.
"How long do you think we will be stuck in here?" The man that had been standing in front of Olivia whispered. They were sitting side by side against the far wall as the man counted up the money.
"You are going to be the one who gets us killed. So shut up." Olivia growled as she went to look at her watch but then realized that it was on the table with everything else that had been taken from them.
"Oh, c'mon. At least play along. I'm bored and I want to eat."
"I have dinner with my friends in an hour. I want to be there but now I'm stuck here with you." Olivia huffed. The man looked over at Olivia before reaching his hand out to her.
"I'm Dominick. You?" He asked.
"I said be quiet! Talking is going to get us shot. Or get me shot. Either way, we will be dead. So leave me alone." Olivia grumbled. Sirens were heard as they pulled up outside and red and blue lights filled the once barely lit room.
"Who called the cops?" The man yelled as he started to swing his gun around.
"You have our phones, so we couldn't call anyone!" The teller squeaked.
"Everyone to your feet! Now!" The man yelled. Dominick and Olivia stood up slowly, and as they did, Dominick was looking around for a place to hide. As the man was pacing around and aiming his gun at whoever he thought had called the cops, Dominick grabbed Olivia by her arm and pulled her quickly around the corner before running her down the hall.
"What are you doing?" Olivia whispered, as Dominick quietly opened the door to the bathroom before shoving Olivia in. He quickly shut the door before bolting it closed.
"Keeping us safe." He replied.
"I don't need you to protect me! And he will notice that we left and try and kill us. So you may have just gotten me killed." Olivia grumbled before she moved to unlock the door, but Dominick stopped her.
"I have no idea why you hate me so much, but I want to get out of here alive just like you do. So just stay put until the cops get him and we can leave. You can go see your friends and I can go see mine. Okay?" Dominick spoke, and Olivia gave him a sidewards glance before nodding.
"Okay, but if-"
"If you die they can charge me with your murder. Blah. Blah. Blah."

It wasn't too much longer after the cops arrived did Olivia, Dominick, and the rest of the hostages get released. Their items were returned to them and they were sent home once their statements had been taken. Olivia ended up having to go somewhere and have the cashier cash her check before going and picking up three pies. She had the hardest time not devouring them as she drove over to her friend's apartment.
"Liv! You are late!" Kathy spoke, as she opened her apartment door and let the brunette into the apartment. Olivia passed Kathy the pies before sighing softly.
"I was in a hostage situation at the bank. So uh, be thankful I am alive, Kathy." Olivia spoke, before pecking her friend's cheek before they walked into the kitchen and Olivia was quick to grab a roll and shove it into her mouth.
"Did I hear something about a hostage situation?" Elliot asked as he came into the kitchen to join his wife and friend.
"Oh yeah. Some asshole almost got me killed. He pulled me out of the lobby and he didn't even seem to care that we might have been killed if the robber would have noticed." Olivia groaned. She sank down onto a barstool before looking between her friends.
"Liv," Elliot spoke.
"What?" Olivia asked, before seeing Dominick from the bank.
"Hey, I didn't get you killed so you decided to stalk me?"
"Why the hell are you here?" Olivia growled, as she stood and stared between the three other people in the room.
"He's my friend from school, Olivia. This is Sonny. The guy I was talking about." Elliot spoke.
Olivia crossed her arms over her chest before shaking her head. She didn't want to be close to the man who thought she needed to be protected and saved.
