Olivia ignored Dominick and eventually he got up and left. He had the audacity to see another girl when they were supposed to be having dinner, and then he dipped and dashed without learning her name. Olivia couldn't trust men like that not after Jackson and Charles. Fuck boys if she had ever met one. Those guys were asses and she knew that Dominick had now been added to that list.
Olivia listened as the professor slowly rambled on about some stupid law thing that Olivia already knew about. Being trapped in her own thoughts wasn't the place she needed to be. All she wanted was for this class to be over so she could go home, curl up, and cry or scream, something to get rid of her anger. The class finally finished and Olivia ducked out before the mad dash to the door started.
"Liv!" Casey called in the cold December air.
"Yeah, Case?"
"Alex wants to know if you're coming over tonight?" Casey spoke walking beside her friend.
"I think I'm going to stay home tonight. I uh, have a lot of homework to do, and I just need some space. I love you guys though, " Liv kissed Casey's cheek, "I'll see you later."

Dominick had left Olivia in her class and made his way down to the bar. He had really screwed up this time. It felt like high school all over again, Claire Tyler, his junior and high school sweetheart. He screwed up six years in a relationship in one night, and she still hasn't spoken to him in years. It was his fault, he'd admit that it was always his fault.
"Scotch on the rocks, leave the bottle, " Dominick spoke sitting at the bar dropping his bag to his feet.
"ID, son?" The white-haired man spoke.
"Yeah, here, " Dom slid his New York driver's license across the bar before beginning to drown out his stupidity.

"I'm cutting you off kid. Catch a cab or call a friend, " the bartender spoke.
Dominick looked like shit. His eyes had become red, bloodshot almost, and his language slurred. He had been wringing his hands through his hair for hours and now it was all out of place. Sonny pulled out his phone and dialed the one friend who wouldn't judge him, Elliot.
"Hey, I need a ride, " he slurred biting down on a piece of ice.
"Your drunk?" Elliot questioned looking at the time.
"Yeah, I fucked up, bad!" Sonny practically yelled, "can you come to get me?"
"Yeah, on my way now, stay put and stop yelling."
When Elliot arrived Sonny was hitting on some blonde who looked less than amused. He must have seriously fucked up. Elliot placed a hand to his friend's shoulder.
"Time to go, big man, " Elliot spoke checking that he paid his tab.
"Fun's over beautiful, but call me, " he motioned a phone with his hand as he slid his number to her.
Getting up he leaned on Elliot until both of them were in the car. Sonny stretched out his legs as his friend drove to his apartment. Elliot wasn't going to let a drunk friend go home and possibly die so he drove back to his apartment.
"Why are we going to your place?" Sonny slurred rubbing his head.
"Because I'm not going to let you choke on your own vomit, you can stay on the couch. But, what the hell did you do to get so wasted?"
"I fucked up with your little friend there, uh, Olivia!" He yelled, "she's tightly wound."
"Watch it, Sonny, say the wrong thing and I'll kick you in the junk, hell, to be honest, you probably deserve it."
"Oh, thanks, " he whispered, trying not to fall asleep.

Olivia had gotten home from class and felt herself breaking. She took off her make-up and climbed in the shower, sinking to the floor she felt herself let out a whimper. It wasn't long before she was sobbing in the steaming shower. Eventually, the water ran cold so she got out and cozied up. Pj's and a blanket before she fixed some grilled cheese and settled on her overstuffed couch. She ate while watching some tv and then cried.
Why was she wasting tears on some dick guy she didn't even like? Was it because she would've given him a second chance? Or because she thought he was decent and then he screwed her over. Whatever it was it pissed her off and made everything extreme.

It had been a week since the restaurant incident and Olivia had forgotten about Dominick altogether. In fact, a guy in her Psych 101 class had asked her out for dinner and she had accepted. They had been project partners for the semester and she was excited to get to know him outside of the classroom. She was currently dolling up for the date and she was quite excited.
Her hair was falling in waterfall curls over her shoulders as she finished up her makeup. She had opted for a sheer white blouse and jeans with heeled booties. He had said the date would be casual, dinner and a walk through central park. She was securing an earring when a knock sounded on the door.
"Hey, David, " Olivia chimed as she opened the door. "I'm almost ready, come in and make yourself comfortable."
She disappeared momentarily back into her room to grab a sweater and her purse before meeting David in the living room.
"You look gorgeous, Liv, " David spoke kissing her cheek.
She felt the heat hit her cheeks, "thank you, " she whispered before they headed out.
Dinner was amazing and the conversation flowed so easily. They were now walking through Central Park hand in hand just talking about anything and everything. They had stopped in front of the iced-over pond as the wind blew snow from the trees.
"I had an amazing night tonight, and I'd love to do it again, Olivia."
"I'd love to do it again, just let me know when you're free and we can work something out, " she smiled as they moved back to the entrance.
"Let me drive you home?"
"Sure, " she blinked trying to rid her eyelashes of the snowflakes.
He opened her door and she locked eyes with Sonny. Hooked to his arm, that blonde he had with him the night he broke her heart. Apparently, they both had moved on and it only bothered her, or so she thought.
