Olivia's walls were stacked high and strong by the time Elliot pulled her into a side room. Her best friend who knows her better than herself knew she was closing down fast. Tugging her arm he sat he down in his home office.

"Give the guy a chance, Liv, please. He had no way of knowing it was you at the bank and from what I've told him about you, he seems interested in you, " Elliot spoke hoping his kid sister and best friend would understand.

"First of all, why do you try to set me up with your friends. No offense, but they're all immature and denser than walls. All they want is a casual sex partner and no offense, but no. Second of all, I don't need to be protected by some idiot! It's absolutely insulting that because I'm a woman he thinks I can't handle my own, " Olivia had always had a bit of a sassy temperament, but this was a new level.

"Olivia please don't be mad, take some time to cool off. Stay eat dinner let him see you interact with other friends and we can revisit him offending you later, okay? For now, I'll let him know that you're not super interested after today's events and to give you some space, alright?"

"I guess so, but if he ticks me off again I can't promise I won't go for him over the dinner table. Got it? Am I clear?" Olivia asked reiterating her anger.

"Loud and clear, now, let's get back out there and play nice, " Elliot sighed knowing it'd be a long shot.

The two friends joined the now full party of their friends and Olivia's current enemy. Olivia had settled with Kathy, Casey, and Alex in the living room. Comfortably spread across furniture they were discussing everything from kids to guys. Everything was going great until Casey mentioned his name.

"So what do you guys think of Sonny?" Casey asked not knowing the backstory.

"Seems nice, not like the other Stabler friends, " Alex spoke not seeing him as a contender for herself.

"He's definitely not like some of Elliot's other friends, he's very respectful and nice, and a great listener, what do you think about him, Liv?" Kathy asked sipping some water.

"He doesn't seem all that amazing to me, " Olivia spoke sarcasm dripping from her words.

Kathy nodded understandingly at one of her husband's best friends. Olivia has known Kathy and Elliot for what seems like forever now. She hasn't always gotten along with Kathy but they've worked through most of there differences for Elliot's sake. Casey and Alex sat dumbfounded at the bluntness of their close friend.

"Olivia, why so cold?" Alex asked knowing she and Casey were equally curious.

"I was in a hostage situation at the bank today."

"Oh my God, what happened? Did you get hurt?" Casey asked frantically her blue eyes brimming with tears.

"I'm okay, a little shaken up I guess, but it could've been worse. Dominick could've had me killed today and instead of me being here with you, all of you would be grieving my loss."

"I'm not following how is it his fault?" Casey asked confused and upset.

"The dumbass fucking pulled me out of the lobby and shoved me into a bathroom, had the robber noticed I'd be in a morgue with a toe tag, " Olivia spoke shivering slightly in her own skin.

"Now I get it, you have every right to hate him. Olivia Benson doesn't need a protector, " Alex spoke rubbing her friend's arm.

The friend group all snuggled close together at Elliot and Kathy's dining room table in their small kitchen. Everyone, well almost everyone, are enjoying themselves. Olivia's adrenaline was starting to settle and the scare of her being brushed with death today was starting to get under her skin. Currently, she's smushed between Alex and Rafael at the tiny table waiting for her turn to speak. Sonny had made himself comfortable chatting with Casey and Trevor about things glancing in Olivia's direction every once in a while.

"Hey guys, I have a small announcement to make before we move on to dessert, " Elliot spoke of his quite loud friends, "Kathy and I are expecting our first baby."

The room quickly buzzed again with 'congratulations' and 'I'm so excited for you' the room was so loud Olivia was able to slip from the room undetected. Stepping out into the hallway she felt her self begin to heat up and the room started to spin. She was panicking, but why so long after the incident. She should've freaked hours ago when the guy pulled his gun or when Sonny pulled her down the hall to the bathroom. She shouldn't be panicking now, but she had been in shock, unbeknownst to her all of her body's natural defense had worn off.

"Hey Livvie, are you okay? I watched you slip out rather quickly, " Rafael spoke from the door of the apartment.

"I think I'm okay, " she mumbled in a whisper.

"What was that, Liv, " he spoke moving towards his friend whose back was to him.

"I think I'm o-okay, " she spoke panting lightly.

Rafael noticed how red Olivia looked and gently looped his arm around her waist. Back inside the apartment, he laid her on the living room floor and made his way to the kitchen to grab Olivia's water. The rest of the party had noticed the two missing guests and were growing concerned that Olivia wasn't happy about the baby.

"Hey is Liv with you? Is everything okay?" Kathy asked before her husband could.

"She's in the living room and looking a little under the weather, " Rafael spoke not wanting to alarm anyone.

"She's coming out of shock, " Elliot spoke knowing his best friend.

"Shock from what? I don't think it was from the announcement."

"You'd be right, she was in a hostage situation this afternoon at the bank, " Sonny spoke softly in the merely quite room.

"Hostage situation, what in bloody hell are you talking about, kid?" Rafael asked after being left out of the loop.

"She was witness to a bank robbery this afternoon. I was there."

While Rafael was put back in the loop on his friend's personal life Kathy had slipped into the living room. Olivia's eyes were red now and her cheeks streaked with tears. Sitting next to her husband's best friend it was hard to see the stubborn and never emotion woman so upset. Kathy's arm found its way around Olivia's shoulders to comfort her.

"I'm scared, " Olivia admitted quietly.

"It's all going to be okay and I know you don't believe in him, but God has a plan and there is a good reason as to why you didn't die today. Part of that plan is because we want you to baby Stabler's God-Mother. We love you, Liv, and I know this baby will too."
