St. Carson Elementary, located in Chicago, IL, was one of the top schools. Great staff, intelligent students, and a huge park for the kids to play in. Parents often said the school should add grades 7-12 into the school's roster since they didn't want their kids to have to leave.

Anyways, our story takes place in class 5A on a cheerful Monday morning...

---

Zak sighed as he plopped down into his seat. He fished his 3D.S out of his hoodie pocket and glared disdainfully at the screen.

Throughout the week, the boy had been stuck on the seventh gym of Pokemon Diamond, Candice. He'd been unable to kill her stupid Froslass.

He face-planted onto his desk

He face-planted onto his desk. "I'm never gonna beat the game at this point,"

A few minutes passed, and the majority of the class were sat at their seats. The only person absent was the teacher.

George, one of Zak's friends and his classmate, tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey, Zak, did you hear about the new kid?"

Zak shrugged. "Nope. I don't really care either. New kids usually end up with Techno," He gestured towards Technoblade, who was surrounded by his posse of popular kids.

"Eh, I guess so. Maybe this one's different?"

Before the shorter boy could voice his doubt, Miss FlipFlop's booming voice interrupted him.

"Morning, class! Today we have a transfer student from Paris!" She patted the boy who stood beside her on the back. "Introduce yourself, dear."

The kid looked a bit disturbed. He had curly dark brown hair, and square-framed glasses, He was wearing a black t-shirt that had "petit baguette" printed on it.

Hesitatingly, the new kid spoke: "Uhh..Hi. Je m'appele Vincent. It's...gud to meet you?" His accent was thick and he only said half on the sentence in English.

A low murmur erupted in the classroom.

"What did he just say"

"Was that Italian"

"I can't understand his accent"

Zak, on the other hand, was incredibly amused by this situation. He snickered to himself as he watched Vincent introduce himself awkwardly.

"I feel bad for him," He thought with a grin.

Miss FlipFlop instructed the french kid to sit beside Zak, and then began the day's lessons.

20 minutes into class, Zak stopped listening and pulled out his 3Ds.

He was vaguely aware of the new kid watching him play, but he didn't mind the attention.

After losing the battle for the umpteenth time he turned to Vincent. "You wanna try?" He asked, offering the Ds.

"Oh, uh, s-sure," The french kid gladly took the offering.

And in less than five minutes, he won the battle.

Zak's jaw dropped.

And that, readers, is how a very strange friendship began.

---

A few months later, Zak was playing on his Ds again. It was a murky Sunday and he knew he'd probably end up spending the evening inside.

He wasn't alone. Vincent was on his own Ds, making weird-looking Miis who seemed to  Chernobyl victims.

The duo was splayed out on Zak's living room couch, rain pounding on the windows.

"Vin, d'ya think we should study for the test tomorrow?"

"Naaah. We can study before class."

Zak chuckled. "We're dead meat,"

Vincent smirked. "Isn't meat always dead?"

----

Just a weird idea I had.

TL;DR - a6d is a french transfer student, and Skeppy can't seem to beat that boss in a video game. Then things work out.
