"Nikki!" Haven screams as I awaken. I groan.

"Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!" screamed Alaska. "Your wrist!" she shrieked as she ran for the house.

"Ouch." I say weakly.

"What did this to me?" I asked, trying to draw attention away from me.

"This is going to surprise you." Haven sighed. "It was Janet."

I gasped. How did she get all the way out here? We're miles away from the medical center. I thought to myself.

"I don't know how she got here, but she did." said Haven, examining my wrist. I jolted foreword from the increasing pain coming from my left wrist.

"Lets get her out of here and into the house." Said Haven.

"Okay. Ready?" Haven asked me. I shook my head yes. I didn't want to hurt myself by talking, but I think that hurt worse.

"On three...One...Two...Three." Haven said with a heave as he lifted me off of the ground. I groaned in pain once my feet touched the earth.

"You okay, Nikki?" asked Haven.

"Ya. Just basically bleeding out from my wrist. No biggie." I said, trying to lighten things up, but nobody smiled. Even the crickets fell silent.

"Lets just go." I said as I pushed Tre out of my way with my right arm, since my left one was in unbearable pain.

Before Janet was taken over by the 'plague', she had very long, straight dirty blonde hair, and a beautiful smile. She was one of the smartest girls in the hospital. She got straight A's, and she always tried to make everyone feel like they mattered to her.

When we got back to camp, Tre came over to talk to Haven, but lost his trail of voice as he looked at my wrist. His gaze went from my wrist to my eyes. I could see he had wondered what had happened. As I looked at him, my vision turned blurry, and I struggled to keep my feet on the ground.

"Nikki!?" Haven said nervously. I fell to the ground, the only thing in my vision was my bitten wrist, and then I was out cold.
