Bakuguo's P.O.V

I had him where I wanted him. He was shaking and crying softly but he didn't talk. I took a minute to catch my breathe before I tried to go at this conversation again. He kept his head low, long damp bangs hung over the top half of his face. I bit my lip in frustration at his behavior but there wasn't anything I could do. "Deku, why won't you look at me?" I asked as gently as I could.

"B-Because I don't want to be around you anymore." He shivered.

I felt a vein in my forehead pop. "God damnit just look at me will ya?" I gripped his shoulder tightly.

"No back off!" He snapped.

I pushed my leg between his knees and he let out a small gasp. "I SAID YOU CAN'T!" Tears were streaming down his cheeks.

I felt a small growl rise on the back of my throat again. "GOD DAMNIT PLEASE..." I lowered my voice. "Just look at me..."

He started pushing against my chest again his breathing was labored and his chest heaved up and down in panic. "I'm begging you Deku!"

he stopped for a moment. His body sagged and his lips were pressed in a tight line. "I can't Kacchan...I can't face you."

"What do you mean."

His body suddenly became rigid and he cried loudly "I CAN'T! I CAN'T BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU IF IT I CAN'T SEE YOU WITH BOTH EYES!"

I froze in place. My grasp on him was gone completely but he didn't try to move away or push me back. I shuddered and grasped his face in my hands but I didn't force his head to move. "What did you....did I do to you."

There was an ear splitting silence. I couldn't even hear the crickets outside the window or our breathing. I felt tears well in the corner of my eyes. Everything was clicking together, making sense. The months of ignoring me started to become clear to me. I opened my mouth but no noise came out while Deku shook in my hands. "N-No you're lying...you have to be."

"I wish I were lying." was his answer "But I'm not."

I ran my finger along his cheek just under his right eye, the feel of the burn marks that I saw everyday since our first training fight. His body shivered under my touch. This can't be, please let this be a lie. Please Deku you have to be lying.

Deku's head started to rise slowly. I couldn't tell if it was his own doing or mine but I tried to keep from panicking. The tears were flowing now. Landing on the back of Deku's hand which had firmly grasped ahold of my shirt at some point.  I watched in silence as his head was lifted completely. I bit my tongue as blood filled my mouth and tears fell from my cheeks, Deku spoke with a whimper in his voice. "I-I'm permanently blind in my right eye...it happened during our first fight.  Recovery girl did what she could to save my eye but there was nothing she could do. She worked with the support students and made contacts that could give me my eye color back but..." He trailed off his shoulders shaking hard.

"Oh God...Deku..No..I'm...I.."

He held up his hand and let out a timid smile. He tried to be strong but he can't be strong forever and he knew that. All this time...the sport festival, the USJ, the attack during our training camp, our second fight...everything he had been doing up until now was with one eye. I couldn't put a name to what I was feeling but that didn't matter at the moment. I quickly wrapped my arms around his shaking body and dragged him to the floor. He didn't fight, just let himself be taken into my arms and cried into my shoulder. I held him tightly till his shaking calmed down a little bit but not completely. He mumbled sorry over and over again. I wanted to tell him to stop but I couldn't form words. They were on the tip of my tongue but I couldn't get them to come out. We stayed like that for a long time in silence. No words, no movement, just our shallow breathing mixed with the sweet scent of his shampoo. He finally put his hands on my chest and tried to pull away, mumbling to himself about being up past curfew. That was the last of my concerns but I moved away just enough for him to stretch out his arms. I placed my hand on his cheek, he looked up at me, his hair falling over his right eye. I pushed it out of the way while running my thumb under his eye feeling the burn scars. The white discoloration in his eye proved he had no vision but my heart still hurt. I felt a burning in the back of my throat and I had to stop myself from hugging him again. Instead I leaned forward and placed my lips against his. He froze as his eyes grew wide. His mouth was open as I slipped my tongue into his mouth and pulled him closer to me. Time seemed to stop as we kissed, the heat in the room made me sweat a little but I kept myself under control. There was deep heavy breathing, both of our faces flushed red. I pulled away, keeping my hand on the back of his head, a strand of saliva dripped from our tongue. "K-Kachan..." Deku moaned out slightly.

He looked so cute and I had to keep myself from attacking him again. A sliver ran down my spine but I ignored it. I picked him up and carried him to his bed, no shouts of protest or anything. After covering him up and making it back to the door I heard a very quite 'Good Night'.

I nodded my head and quickly left the room. Things were gonna be different from no on and I needed to prepare for that. My main issue is gonna be with that Icy hot bastered but I'd cross that bridge when I get to it. For now, Deku was my number one priority.
