Chapter 5

Bakuguo's P.o.V

What was I thinking? Why did I do something like that? I walked home, my head hung low and hands in my pockets. Only a few minutes ago I had Deku shoved up against a wall, anger and frustration filling my head. It was like a sudden rush of energy caused me to lean in a kiss him. I can't say I wasnt in control of my actions because in some form or fashion I was. That night I thought about how unbelievably soft Dekus lips were and ended up not sleeping a wink.

The next morning, Deku was in front of the class door, he was crouched down and had his head lowered to his chest like he was sleeping. We had all been spending our days training for the sports festival that was coming up. Even after the attack on the USJ people wanted others to believe that UA wasnt a school that would back down. So they decided that they would still hold the UA sports festival as a sign. I thought about leaning down and waking him up but then I heard a loud obnoxious voice and I jumped away. "Dekuuu! Wanna get lunch today?"
Dekus head lifted up and he smiled as Round face made her way down the hall. I thought I saw something wrong with his eye but I blinked and nothing was there. I just walked into class after that. I saw no point in pissimg off the girl. If Deku wasn't avoiding me before he was no but it was different this time. Everytime he caught me staring his face would light up red and he would look away. I would punch myself later. As usual, Deke left class before anyone else and his pals followed soon after. I felt like I should have apologized for kissing him but I couldn't bring myself to do it. One afternoon I caught him training, his body was nimble and his moves were almost smooth and swift. There were a couple of times that he stumbled but he got back and kept going. Before we knew the UA sports festival was upon us. The excitement was overwhelming as the events played out. I, just like everyone else I gave it my all. Of course my anger getting the best of me from time to time. The first battle was won by Deku, giving him over 10 million points. The second battle was won by Todoroki team. Dekus team pulled up in fourth in the end and so his team was able to move on to the finale battle. I watched him as he cried at Round face, the weird girl from the support course and bird brain. He kept rubbing his right eye. Why was he doing that? Before the battles started I was going to use the restroom when I pasted by the room Deku was waiting in. He was with tail guy and he looked pretty shocked. I pondered why for a moment when I realized his first opponent was that purple hair guy from general studies. I clicked my tongue and kept walking. Well hes just Deku, if he wins than maybe he won't feel so shitty bout himself I guess. I got back out to the stands right as the recreational games were ending. Engine and round face watched with baited breath as Deku and this Shinso guy made their way to the battle area. What was this guys quirk again? Did they ever say what his quirk was? I couldn't remember. They started the battle and for a moment they just stood there. Everyone was silent when finally Shinso spoke. Before anyone understood what was going on, Deku was walking out of the ring. I sat up in my seat as everyone watched the green haired boy. He walked closer and closer to the line that would cause him to lose his battle with such a simple individual. Something caught  my eye as I watched him lift his fingers up and slam them down. A huge blast of air engulfed the stadium. He stopped and gasped for air. I leaned forward and saw that he had broken his two fingers. The rest of his battle with the purple haired guy ended quickly after a couple of blows to the face. He wobbled out of ring where he was met by round face who guided him back to the waiting rooms. She was my first battle so I followed along shortly after. I happened to walk past the room he was in when I heard something. I stopped and pressed my ear to the door "How are you feeling?" She mumbled
" Haha I'm alright. It just moved to the corner a bit so it was kinda hard to focus but it's fine now."
"Did she make more then one just in case if that one got broken in a fight?"
"No, she said they take a few hours to make so she couldn't make multiples. I'm sure if I ask she can make a few more."
