After a normal week at Hollywood Arts, it was finally time for the prom. You spent all day getting ready until 7:00 finally arrived. You ran down your stairs, told your parents bye, and jumped into your car to go pick up Robbie. Your heart raced as you drove down his street thinking about how much fun prom was going to be. After you rang the doorbell, you were greeted by an old woman.
"Don't tell me this is your date to the prom!" The old woman exclaimed over her shoulder. You looked past her and saw Robbie coming down the stairs, trying to put on a bow tie.
"Grandma! I specifically asked you not to be rude." Robbie said as he continued to fail at getting his bow tie on right. You let yourself in by pushing by Robbie's grandma as politely as you could. She gave you a scowl, but you still tried to give her a smile.
"Do you need help with that?" You asked as you approached Robbie.
"Yeah I can't figure this thing out" Robbie replied slightly annoyed. You fixed his bow tie and smiled at how cute he looked in his suit.
"What are you smiling like that about?" Robbie said smiling right back at you.
"I was just thinking you look really cute in your suit." You said with a small blush.
"Well..." Robbie said flattered "you look absolutely amazing y/n."
You reached up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. You were about to thank him when you were interrupted by his grandma.
"Alright enough with the PDA I'm standing right here! Let me take some pictures of you in your suit Robbie sweetie."
"Okay" Robbie agreed begrudgingly. After a few minutes of Robbie's photo shoot you started getting bored.
"Can I be in some pictures with Robbie?" You asked.
"Eh... I guess you can be in a few. I still can't believe my Robbie chose you as a date to the prom though." Robbie's grandma replied with yet another scowl.
"GRANDMA!" Robbie snapped. "C'mon y/n, someone can take pictures of us once we get to the school." You noticed he seemed genuinely upset about his grandma insulting you like that.
"Don't worry Robbie" you started once you both had climbed into your car "I'm not offended by anything your grandma said. Old ladies can be like that."
"I know I just... I don't like the idea of anyone making you feel down that's all." Robbie replied sweetly.
"My hero" you said playfully while leaning over onto his shoulder in a feaux swoon.
"Okay okay I guess we should get going, the gang is probably waiting for us at Karaoke Dokie." Robbie said through a laugh.
It had almost slipped your mind that you were meeting everyone for dinner before the dance started. You threw your car into reverse and made your way to Karaoke Dokie.
