Prom Night (Part Two)

You and Robbie walked into Karaoke Dokie and immediately Tori saw you and waved you over. Because the tables were too small, you and Robbie sat with Tori and Andre while Cat, Beck, and Jade sat at the table beside yours. After some small talk back and forth for a few minutes, a waiter came to take your order. As you looked at the menu, you noticed there were no beef-less options. 

"Hey guys, I don't wanna sound annoying or anything but I actually can't have beef and this place seems to sell nothing but burgers." You said timidly. 

"I'm so sorry y/n I had no idea!" Tori said in a pretending-to-care tone "but unfortunately we all planned to eat at Karaoke Dokie and we can't all just change our plans for you."

"I wasn't implying that we need to go somewhere else just for me or anything, I just didn't know they only sold burgers here." You replied, not wanting a confrontation. You could feel Robbie's body language tense up beside you. 

"Yeah I'll have a burger and fries" Andre said to the waiter, and you could tell he hadn't really been listening to the conversation.

"Same for me." Tori said as she shot a glare in your direction. You didn't know what her problem was. 

The waiter looked at you expecting an order. You started to get nervous as you hated being put on the spot and not knowing what to say. "I um.." You said, fumbling your words.

"Alright that's it." Robbie said tossing down his menu on the table. " Y/n do you wanna go eat somewhere else? We can just meet everyone at the school when we're done." You noticed he had been staring daggers at Tori when his expression immediately softened upon looking at you.

"Yeah that would be great" You replied, wanting to get out of there as soon as possible. As soon as you stepped foot out of the restaurant with Robbie, you let out a heavy sigh. You didn't notice you were holding your breath until you let it out. 

"I'm sorry y/n Tori can be a total... witch sometimes." Robbie said as he gave you a reassuring pat on the back.

"I just wish I knew what her problem was..." You replied.

"She's probably jealous of how awesome you are." Robbie said with a goofy grin. 

"Thanks Robbie! I think you're awesome too." You said with a smile. He always knew how to make you feel better.

"Wanna get some Nozu? This time we can even get tempura ice cream, since its a special occasion." Robbie said as you climbed into your car once again. 

"I would love that." You replied. 

You got Nozu and the food was amazing as always. You and Robbie decided to share a tempura ice cream since it was kind of expensive. You realized that you felt so much lighter around Robbie. He made you feel like you could be yourself without judgement, and you realized that that was probably your favorite thing about him. Ultimately you were glad you ditched the others and got to eat just the two of you. As you made your way to the school for prom, you dreaded having to see Tori again. You decided that you were just going to kill her with kindness, no matter what she threw at you.
