A/N: I wrote this chapter at 3am when I was barely able to keep my eyes open. I hope you give me the benefit of the doubt and keep reading this chapter and the rest!
As soon as they pulled up in front of their condo Leila released a long held sigh of relief. The moment Sammi unlocked the door, Leila ran inside making a beeline for her room. She had to get into some dry clothes. She closed her door and starting sifting through the clothing items Sammi threw on the floor from rummaging through the closet earlier and picked up the first clean looking outfit. She chose a pink pair of sweat pants a black v neck t-shirt and headed for her bathroom.
About ten minutes later she was brushing her hair in the mirror when she heard a soft knock at her bedroom door.
"Yes, Sammi?" she answered with a dullness in her voice as she continued to brush her hair.
She heard Sammi reply through the door. "You do realize we have to talk about what happened tonight, don't you?"
Leila immediately blushed thinking of everything that had happened that night.
"Umm yeah maybe tomorrow around lunch." She faked a loud yawn. "I'm just so tired right now."
Sammi spoke again through the door. "Oh I'm sorry! What I meant was that since I had to leave the hottest guy that has ever given me the time of day, who by the way I am almost 100 percent sure that he is my mate, at a party because you were dripping wet, we are gonna have to talk about what happened tonight." Leila flinched at her friend's words. Letting out an exasperated huff she realized it was time to rip off the band aid.
"It's open." She headed back into the bathroom to grab a ponytail holder to quickly throw her hair into a messy bun, she would just deal with the tangles later.
Sammi had a bowl of popcorn and two bottles of Snapple juice in her hands. She plopped down onto Leila's bed and twisted open her bottle as she waited for her friend to begin.
"So, where do you want me to begin?" Leila said grabbing a handful of popcorn as she sat down across from Sammi on the bed.
"Well, let's try the beginning." Leila heaved an exaggerated sigh.
"Alright," she began "It was a warm spring evening on April 16, 1989 when---" Sammi cut her off by putting her hand over her Leila's mouth.
"Leila, I meant the beginning of tonight, not the beginning of your life." Leila sighed as her Sammi released her hand over her mouth.
"Fine." She began to tell her about the food and shifting, and the creepy growl. She moved on in the story to tell her about Lady Gaga's fans. She got to the part about how she fell in the pool because Mr. GetUPInYourFaceAlpha wouldn't leave her alone. Sammi was so engrossed in the story that she leaned forward as if it would help her hear the story better. Leila finished by telling her about the ending with coming in to get her. When she finished there was silence. She made a hard line with her mouth and slowly nodded her head while looking around the room to let Sammi know she was waiting for feedback. She could tell her friend was letting all of the information soak in. Then she looked at Leila for a moment and started laughing. It was a muffled giggle at first, then it quickly built to a gasping for air type of laugh. Leila growled at her, which only made the situation funnier. She kept laughing trying to form words.
"You...fell...pool! This time leaned forward and patted Leila's knee while cackling. She glared at her.
"Out of all of that all you got was that I fell in the pool? Not that he is a complete jerk? Not that i was scared shit less in the woods by myself because you had to go and shift with Mr. GQ model of the year?" Sammi continued laughing.
