Agatha was laying down on a wooden carry table. She had a blanket over her body so no one could see her tale and the table was long enough to not have it hanging over. A guard had a knife pressed to her side under the blanket to insure she wouldn't scream.

When Agatha lay her head on its side, she saw Tedros coming out of another corridor. It felt like the whole world stopped when she met his sorrowful and sympathetic eyes. The slightest smile played on Agatha's face. He did the same.

This was goodbye.

Agatha saw a blonde women come up behind Tedros and link her arm around his.

Agatha's heart stopped. Tedros looked at the woman and then back at Agatha to see her hurt and betrayed. He lurched forward, trying to say it wasn't what it seemed, but Agatha was already turning away and shutting her eyes.

She thought he special. That he thought she was special. But suppose just like all men he was only interested in a women's looks (and in that department this woman was far superior.)

Agatha bit back tears, knowing that she would die hurt and betrayed.

======

Agatha lay down, tied to the stone bench. The bench was cold on her bare skin and scales.

She had tied the old mans vial into a bun in her hair, so it couldn't be seen. She could hear the sound of blades being sharpened. She would have turned to look but she had a strap across her forehead restricting its movement.

There were straps around her shoulders but not her wrists, no she had handcuffs around her wrist, and they weren't regular handcuffs, they were burning handcuffs. She was in agony as she felt the hot metal slice into her thin skin. Though luckily the chains were loose, so she was able to reach her hair. She slipped out the shells holding it in place and dug the vial into her palm. She brought her hand back to her side and waited.

It didn't take long for the man that would be skinning her lay his knives down next to her and prepared to start.

He grazed the knives. "This won't hurt a bit, love." Said his croaky voice.

Agatha could barely see him with the restriction of her vision. "Something tells me your lying." In one motion she ripped the lid off the bottle and guzzled it.

She felt pain sear through her whole body. It felt like ever cell was being broken down and rebuilt. It was like she was being strangled by an invisible force.

She groaned, pulling at the band around her head in attempt to tear it off.

Her head jerk back and she felt the pain settle, and the air return to her lungs.

When she looked at the man he was staring at her. Her head snipped down to her tail--

Her l-legs. That's what he meant by save her scales. She quickly pulled the blanket over her. The man was shocked. "W-What d-d-did you d-do?"

Agatha was one thousand times more shocked.

"I don't know."

=====

"Lemon drop?" Merlin asked holding one out to Agatha. She shook her head.

"What did you do?" Agatha asked, for about the millionth time.

"Magic."

Agatha hit her head against the wall behind her. This wasn't getting anywhere.

Agatha rubbed her blistered wrists. "Can any of your 'magic' help with this?"
