Agatha and Sophie sat in the grotto together and for the first time in so long, it felt like it used to.

"Did you see the new shells Beatrix has been wearing?" Sophie said.

Agatha laughed. "Oh my god, so not her colour!"

"She's just trying to looked as perfect as I do." She said flicking her hair.

Agatha laughed again. "Yeah, sure."

"You think she doesn't want to!" Sophie said. Agatha was laughing so hard she fell off her rock.

Agatha lay on her stomach on the sand. "You should've seen the girls in Camelot, Sophie. Your beauty is far superior. Especially to that Lilith witch."

"Who's Lilith?" Sophie frowned.

"Some royal brat that thinks she can have anything she wants because her daddy is the Duke." Agatha scoffed. Then she frowned. "Well, I assume that's what she'd like. That's what Tedros made her sound like at least."

"Tedros? The prince? You're on a first name basis with him? You can just call him the mermaid-stealing devil and I'll know who you're talking about." Sophie laughed. Agatha didn't find it funny.

"I, uh, think I'm gonna go lie down." Agatha said.

Sophie sat up. "Oh, would you like me to come with you?"

"No, I'm fine."

"Okay... come find me when you're up!" Sophie smiled.

Agatha nodded and swam off toward their house.

Sophie groaned and threw herself back onto the rock. She had said something wrong, but she had no idea what. She scanned through their whole conversation and couldn't think of one thing that could've made her upset.

Sophie sighed and sat up. It was only one step backwards after three steps forward.

Sophie finally had her best friend back and she wasn't going to let anyone take her away again.

Tedros and his crew had bags under their eyes, from pulling an all-nighter.

Tedros felt like a zombie, but when he saw the sparkle of Mermaid Lagoon he knew it was worth loosing sleep.

Merlin had given Chaddick the potion that could turn her human and now it was in Tedros's trembling hands. He was so nervous. Nervous that he'd be rejected. Nervous she didn't love him anymore. Nervous that he would lose the most amazing girl in the world.

The boat docked just outside of Mermaid Lagoon. Tedros would proceed on foot.

Tedros's heart raced as he made his way through the trees. Through the trees, light glistened on the water of Mermaid Lagoon. The lagoon was empty apart from one mermaid sitting on a rock. She had short black hair and a gorgeous aqua tail, he couldn't see her face, her back was to him.

But there was only one mermaid in their pod that had hair like that.

He ran over and waded into the water towards her. He opened his mouth to call out to her, when he felt seaweed shoot up from the rocks and wrap around his arm. He tried to tug away, but then another shot up and captured his other arm.
