"Firestar is there anything we can do to help them? You cant tell me there is not a single thing. Theyre dying its all over, no one believes in us anymore, they threw out Pinefire, She was the only one trying" said an orange-brown cat from close by to Firestar. Firestar was sad about it but he knew that someday this was doomed to happen.
It had been foretold to Pinefire long ago. And no one listened to her, they threw her out. It was still sad to see the state the clans were in at this point. There were no star names from the clans at this point. They had leaders named star but they had never gotten their 9 lives from starclan.
"Squirrelflight, I am afraid there is nothing we can do at this point. It was destined from the stars and no one listened." Firestar responded to her quietly. Squirrelflight wanted to cry but she was a starclan warrior. She wasn't alive and she was strong. All they could do at this point is stand there and just watch. As the clans just died, no matter what they tried to tell Pinefire no one would listened to her. And now they through out the last medicine cat.
Now they stand there watching sadly as the clans fight each other, have no gathering and eat nasty scraps. Riverclan was already gone, Shadowclan was basically gone at this point, and Windclan, and Thunderclan fought each other losing so many life's what almost seemed like happened daily. There wasn't many left in those 2 either. Riverclan only had a few left a while but a lot of them went to be  kittypets a lot of them just ran away some just going out into the woods never to be seen ever again. The same was happening to Shadowclan at this point. Their leader was old he didn't believe in starclan and he just said to others.
"If you dont want to be here than just leave. I dont have time for cowards like you." The leader would say. At this point there was only 7 left in Shadowclan and it would take years to rebuild that from the ground up.
Thunderclan was still going strong, they had lost a lot lives in battles but no one had left the clan at this point. A few had been thrown out, including Pinefire, for being cowards but they still had a strong 25 cats, windclan wasnt as lucky though. Firestar watched them sadly as they were starving their ribs coming out and not nearly as strong as Thunderclan at this point.
"KettleStar im hungry, we are all starving, what do we do? You cant just let us die, Thunderclan has been coming in our territory everyday and taking what little food we have left. Its the winter we cant just make it through like last year. It was easier last year, but we still lost 4 because of it, i don't think any of us would survive a year worse than that at this point." Said a black cat sadly. His ribs showing though his fur easily. The leader of the Windclan looked at him and smiled.
"If you would like to be cowards like Riverclan, go ahead an run to some humans and get food from them, BirdToe. Or stay here and fight Thunderclan. We will win." Kettlestar responded. She looked back at him sadly, the clans were gone and no one would listen to anything smart that someone had to say.
"Okay, im leaving, and my kids are coming with me, im not going to stand here and let you kill all of us." BirdToe said back him, almost spitting at him, that infuriated him. Her children were his best warriors she couldnt just let those warriors leave with her. He clawed down her side and she screamed. Other cats in the clan walked out of their dens to see what the fuss was about.
"You are hilarious if you think your children will follow you, I am their leader, you are a pathetic cat. If you stay however you will be demoted from deputy but you will still have a chance to prove to the clan that you are still loyal and can be a help to us. I want you to go kill Littlestar, after that you are free to stay in the clan.
"You are sad, you think i can just walk into Thunderclan, and just kill their clan leader. If you thought i could do that then you would've done that at this point. Or maybe you're the one who is a coward. Im leaving, Youngtail, Riskfeather, please come with me if you know whats good for you." Birdtoe said to Kettlestar and her kids. But they just looked back at her and shook their heads. She looked back at them surprised and disgusted.
"Im sorry mother, I am loyal to the clan and loyal to Kettlestar, please just leave if you know good for you." Riskfeather said back to her sadly. Kettlestar laughed from further up and Birdtoe turned back to him with a sad smile sitting at her face.
"See, loyal, unlike you now leave before i make them kill you." Kettlestar said to Birdtoe. Birdtoe dipped her head and then walked out of the entrance. After she was out of the place. Kettlestar pointed to Riskfeather. "This is now youre chance to be deputy and the next leader. Go and kill your mother now."
Riskfeather smiled at him and tore out his claws. "Of course father, i would kill any cat not loyal to windclan, even my own mother." Kettlestar nodded back at him, and sat smiling as Riskfeather walked out of the entrance the same way his mother went. The rest of the clan just walked back to their dens starving, not wanting to say anything to Kettlestar, knowing that if they did they would end up the same way that Birdtoe would.
Youngtail sat back waiting for everyone to head back to their dens. And then ran out the entrance the same way that his brother and mother did. Making sure no one noticed that he had left.

Firestar looking down at the clan of Windclan, feeling terrible that his clan had also come this way. Not quiet as bad as what happened to Birdtoe, it saddened him though still, that a cat that loyal was being told that she was not loyal at all and being told to leave her clan. Making her own son go kill his own mother.
He watched as Riskfeather got closer and closer to his mother slowly catching up to her and being quiet at the same time that she would not hear him.
Right as he was about to run up on her though his brother Youngtail yelled to her from far away. "Mom watch out hes coming to kill you." But it was too late. His brother Riskfeather had jumped on her and cut her throat to pieces. She looked up at the sky sadly as her life flashed before her eyes. Thinking of when her love Kettlestar was a good man, and was growing up his first son along with his brother and sisters. They were all happy and fine. But now, that was long in the past. She died with her son ahead of him smiling.
"Your too late stupid little brother, youre barely even an apprentice, however i will have mercy on you and let you go back to father. But i will still have to tell him that you tried to save our mother who is such a coward. I pray he forgives you, i wouldn't want to see another poor little kitty die." Riskfeather said to his younger brother. Whom was barely even 10 months old. He walked up to Riskfeather however looking at him sadly.
"You die, I live, I lie." He told his brother Riskfeather, Riskfeather looked back at him very confused at what on this world his brother was talking about. Then suddenly his brother jumped up on him cuts his throat in the exact spot in the exact way his brother had killed his mother.
Riskfeather looked down surprised, stuttered trying to say a word. But it was too late, he wasn't cautious enough, he didn't think this little coward would attack him like that. But that was his mistake, and now... He was just like his mother, as he well down right beside her body. Youngtail looked back at his mother and ran into the lake real quick to take away the stench of his brothers body from off of of his claws. He then ran to his mother and looked at her sadly, dipping his claws into her blood.
"Goodbye mother, im sorry i was too late." He said to her dead body. Then he quickly headed his back to the clan.

"Wow, i would not have thought your coward mother would have attacked him like that. But since you did the job, you are now the new deputy." Kettlestar said to his youngest son. His brothers had died fighting thunderclan but he was proud his son had forgiven him for that and done the job himself. "Now someone go put those poor pathetic excuses of body into the lake." Kettlestar said to his clan. But no one responded to it or offered their help. No one thought what had happened was right but they knew if they said something about it the same thing that had happened to Birdtoe would happen to them.
"I will go and do it Kettlestar, i did the job so i will through away their bodies."  Youngtail told his father. He looked at him and then shook his head. He knew his son would be tired, it was late at night and he had just killed his own mother.
"Rabbitnose, you go do it, and dont just throw it into a ditch, through it into the lake. You little coward." He told the brown cat with white around his nose. He looked up to Kettlestar and yelled back at him.
"Why me? And why does he get deputy he isn't even old enough to be a warrior. I've done so much for the clan this isnt fair." Rabbitnose said back at him, Kettlestar hissed at him and then jumped down to him.
"Because you are a coward and you do what i ask or ill do what happened to Birdtoe, happen to you." Kettlestar said to him, almost smiling. Rabbitnose shook his head to himself and then ran out of the entrance.

Firestar felt so disgust at what had just happened he almost didnt even want to say anything to Squirrelflight, hoping she wasnt in the same direction as he was. But as he turned around she was nowhere to be seen. Instead he saw Mistystar looking at him.
"You must say this to the last of your kin. the day of the dead is near, but you must save what is left. The woods you will find, a lake behind. The tail of a young mouse he will find." Mistystar told Firestar. Firestar was confused. All of his kin was dead. How could he possibly find anyone that was related to him.
But as he was about to look away, he saw a quick flash. And then he saw something and knew what it was.
"Princess!"
