My Roommate's A Vampire- Alren

Ally had arrived at her new dorm. She was attending the University of Houston. She didn't know anyone, she had gotten a scholarship for the performing arts program.

Her roommate didn't leave any information either on the DormBuddy website. Ally was a nervous wreck, she'd be with this person for a couple of months.

Her parents had agreed to visit when Ally got settled in, to make sure they didn't freak her out. Even though Ally was the calmest about moving away from her home in San Antonio.

"301B, 302B...303B!" Ally cheers as she finally found her dorm, and enters the room. At first she had expected the place to be completely decorated by her roommate but it had looked plane and simple.

Looking around she saw a black leather jacket on the jacket rack, and a few papers on the kitchen counter. Ally puts her stuff down and looks around. The apartment was somewhat dim. Maybe her roommate hated it to be bright.

Ally didn't mind, she preferred candle light over a lightbulb.

The kitchen was connected to a mini living room, and there was a PS4 and big screen already connected.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" Ally says hoping for an answer but gets nothing and goes to walk down the dark hallway that leads to her room. "This isn't creepy at all." Ally says to herself, and looks into the first room she sees.

There was nothing but a bed, a desk, and a bedside table. This must be Ally's room since it has nobody else's belongings.

She sees the bathroom is connected to her room, so when she turns the knob to open the door, she comes face to face with a naked girl.

"Oh shit I'm so sorry." Ally yelps and shuts the door quickly.

Ally's face is red, and she hopes she didn't just create a weird atmosphere with her new roommate.

Hearing the door open, she sees a girl with wet black hair, a sports bra, and some sweats come out drying their hair with a towel. "You must be Ally." The girl smiles and Ally gives her an awkward smile and holds out her hand, "Uh yeah I am...sorry about that.."

"Lauren, my name is Lauren." Lauren chuckles and shakes her hand, "I didn't hear you come in, I guess we should get comfortable with each other since we will be living together." Ally feels the coldness of her skin and assumes she took a super cold shower.

Ally nods, "Yeah I guess so, you have a nice body so that's a good thing!" Ally immediately regrets what she says, "I'm sorry that so sounded weird."

Lauren laughs at her again, "Totally fine, I think you have a nice body too, now we both have said some pretty gay things."

Ally feels less embarrassed, "So your room is on the other side of the door?"

"Yes want to come look?" Lauren offers and motions for Ally to follow her. Lauren leads her through the hallway, and when she opens her door Ally falls inlove with the room.

The smell was different, it was like men's cologne mixed with a forest. Lauren had fairy lights and candles all over the room, she even had very expensive looking art pieces and paintings hung up. Her bed was velvet black, and her desk was a cute set up. She had her lap top then her supplies and a mini cage.

"Awww you have a pet!" Ally squeals.

Lauren goes to the cage and grabs the aninal out, "Yes indeed, this is Jeremy, he's a teddy bear gerbil, don't tell anyone though he's a little secret."

Ally nods and looks at Lauren's bool shelf, "Wow are you a collector? These books seem so rare and ancient." Ally's eyes fall onto a black book with a red star on it.

Ally notices the way Lauren is staring at her from the corner of her eye, and decides to go back to her room, "Well I'm gonna go and unpack my stuff, it was really nice to meet you Lauren."

Walking out of the room, Ally couldnt help but get a weird feeling.

A couple of hours later, Ally had finished her room. Lauren had to come in a few times to help her hand and move furniture. But Ally had decorated her room fully to her liking.

"You done yet Ally? It's been hours, and-woah." Lauren had came into the room, and got a good look at it. "You seriously have some cool decorating skills, I like this." Lauren looks at the twinkly lights on the wall, and ran her fingers over her desk. It was cute and simple and organize.

"Thanks, I'm so tired now, is this how you felt when you were done?" Ally fell back onto her bed, and smiles as she sees Lauren messing with her little trinkets.

Lauren feels eyes on her and looks to meet Ally's eyes. They stare at one another for a second till Ally shifts her eyes to the mirror Lauren was infront of.

There was no reflection.

Lauren catches Ally's eyes and turns to the mirror, "shit." She says and looks at Ally who is confused as hell.

"I can explain." Lauren takes a step closer to Ally, and Ally jumps off her bed and her hand scratches the side of the hammer that was next to her drawing blood.

"Shit." Ally grabs her hand, and then looks at Lauren.

She looked frozen, her eyes locked onto Ally's hand. Her eyes were no longer green, they were red.

Before she could do anything, Ally runs to the bathroom and locks it. Sighing in relief she slides down the door with a towel and wraps her hand.

Ally was trying to collect her thoughts, trying to think of an explanation for what just happened. But those thoughts were interrupted when the other door begins to open. Ally totally forgot to lock it.

"No!" Ally covers herself, preparing for whatever comes next.

But all we felt was cold hands cover hers. She sees Lauren had gotten a first aid kit and begins to clean and bandage Ally's hand.

"Don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you." Lauren reassures, and helps Ally up. Ally looks in the mirror and only sees herself.

She's speechless.

"Please let me explain before you freak out, if you freak out I'll kill you." Lauren warns and Ally gulps. "Ye-yes."

Lauren smiles, "I'm kidding, it's not in my nature to hurt anyone..."

"What are you?" Ally asks, with fear thick in her voice.

"A vampire." Lauren says, and waits for Ally's reaction.

But it never came.

Ally nods, and tries to be as calm as possible, not wanting to upset the death machine infront of her. "Oh."

"Oh?"

"Yes oh, what else do I say? my Roommate is a vampire!"
