My Roommate's A Vampire- Alren

Halloween.

Lauren dreaded the day. Not because of the holiday. But it was her birthday.

She let herself lay in bed a little longer, but when she heard her door open, and a little body lay their self on her satin sheets, she opens her eyes.

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you!" Ally starts to sing, and Lauren couldn't help but smile, "Happy birthday dear Lolo! Happy birthday to you!"

Lauren was infatuated with the way Ally sang, so this was possibly the best present she could ever get. Ally has gotten maybe a bit too comfortable with being close to Lauren, but neither girls noticed how oddly touchy they were with one another. 

Ally straddles Lauren, and pulls out a card. "Don't even tell me, the dog and her girlfriend got me a gift." Lauren guesses and Ally smacks her lips, "How'd you know?"

"I can smell the mutt from a mile away."

Ally laughs and grabs Lauren's arms to bring her up for a hug, and the position they were in was making Lauren nervous. "They wanted to wish you a happy birthday, so they are throwing you a party in the woods."

"Didn't you guys watch Halloween? Bunch of horny drunk teenagers partying it up in the middle of the woods just screams slasher fest." Lauren says and Ally laughs, "I don't think a regular man can get away with trying to even attempt at killing you so I think we are in the clear."

"What if I say no?" Lauren teases and Ally pouts, "Then I'll be super sad." Ally gives her baby kisses on her cheeks and Lauren sighs heavily, "Fine you got me, I'll go."

"Yay! You got to wear a costume too!"

"Fuck that Ally, I'm not going."

"This is nice, how hard was it getting her out of the house Ally?" Dinah jokes as she sees her two friends show up to their bonfire. "I thought I told y'all costume party?" Normani who was dressed as a ninja in a red and black skin tight outfit says and Ally sighs, "She is in costume."

Lauren gives Normani a big smile, showing her fangs, "I'm a vampire we made a compromise, and this is my sweet little red riding hood." Lauren says and puts an arm over Ally, who was in a skin tight black short dress with a red cloak over her.

Dinah, who was dressed in a army camo outfit,  hands them both a beer, "Cheers!"

Majority of the people they usually hang out with at the campus arrived to the party. Ally had stayed by Lauren's side, Lauren had her arm over her shoulders and was talking to Khalid and Shawn.

"How'd you get the teeth to look so real?"

"Your eyes too, those contacts must hurt."

Ally had enjoyed just being their in Lauren's embrace and listening to her talk. She was happy she was enjoying her birthday.

"Hey I'm gonna go get another drink." Ally tells Lauren and she nods.

Ally goes to the cooler where Normani and Ariana were hanging out. "Hey Ally! We were just talking about Christmas time and Friendsgiving!"

Ally listens to Ariana go on about the two occasions but when she notices Selena take Lauren by the hand to go dance by the fire with some other people, she kinda sounded her out.

She watches as Lauren and Selena dance apart, but Selena gets closer. So close that they're chest fo chest.

Seeing Selena lift her head up, Ally turns around and looks the other way. She didn't want to see them kiss. She didn't want her Lauren kissing anyone.

"You okay?" Normani asks and pulls Ally out her trance. Ally nods, "Yeah I just I think I need a breather."

Ally walks away from her friends, and away from the big bonfire. She really did need a breather. She was confused. Was she jealous?

But to be jealous means that she really likes Lauren, and she does, but that's her roommate.

Ally laughs at herself, out of everything, instead of saying it's because she's a vampire the one excuse she can come up with is that she's her roommate.

Realizing she's distance away from the party but could still hear the loud music, Ally sees a spot we're the trees don't cover. Their was moonlight shining on it, and a big boulder type rock for Ally to sit on.

Ally sinks her face into her hands. "What am I doing..."

Hearing leaves move around her, Ally perks her head up. She looks around and doesn't see anything.

Ally laughs at herself, "Okay maybe it's time to go." She hops off the rock, and begins to walk back.

She's stopped when her foot gets caught in a root sticking out.

"Woah there." Lauren comes out of nowhere, and catches Ally before she falls. "I couldn't find you I got worried, what are you doing out here." Lauren asks and it was clear she was concerned, Ally smiles at her to comfort her, "Just needed some air, dont worry about me it's your birthday you should be dancing with pretty girls like Selena." Ally tells her and walks ahead.

Lauren gets an idea, and pulls Ally back into the moonlight, "Nah come here." She says and wraps her arms around Ally.

Ally tries not to smile at the butterflies in her stomach but fails, "Let me goo we need to go back."

Lauren turns her around, and hears the beginning of A Thousand Years begin to play from the party. Lauren stares at her, and gently grabs her hand, "Dance with me, then I'll let you go."

Ally looks at their hands and then to Lauren, "Don't step on my toes." She jokes and Lauren chuckles, and they slowly start to move.

They didn't say anything but they didn't need to. It wasn't an awkward silence, they looked each other in the eyes and moved together under the moon.

Ally puts her head on Lauren's chest and sways with her, she loved the feeling of security. "Lauren how old are you?"

Lauren sighs, "522, I'm an old fart I know." Ally laughs and looks at her, "Well then I hope the next 522 years will be good to you then."

Lauren stops moving and smiles, "In the 522 years that I've been alive, never have I ever met someone like you Ally Brooke..."

Ally gives her a tight hug, "Then I hope to be in your life for a very very long time."

"Won't be long enough." A hooded figure in a tree above the couple says, and disappears into the darkness.
