Headcanon: Scotland

WARNING!!! this one mentions cancer

A largely know headcanon is that Scotland smokes due to the number of smokers in the country.

Smoking has side effects such as bad breath, discoloured teeth, wrinkling, making you look older than you are and several internal illnesses like cancers. Scotland can't escape these, even though he's a county that doesn't stop the effects.

He doesn't want people worrying about him, especially not his brothers. Since he can do magic, He found a way to get rid of the external effects. He transforms the external effects and makes it all focus on his insides. Mainly his lungs.

It's very severe

He hides it well, but about every few months, he dies. This leads to him missing meetings. Wales and Ireland skip meetings during his death periods to care for him. This leaves England to attend meetings alone. England gets rather sad and people try and check what's going on. England doesn't like answering questions on it, so France tries to steer the conversation away from it. He's the only one outside of the family who knows
