All day Michael and I barely even spoke. I mean this morning we did when we both woke up together but after we parted ways that was it. He said he had something to do and wanted me to spend the day with Lily til it was time. He wanted me to be home by 8 once again. He didn't tell me anything. Just that it was extremely important for me to be home at 8 on the dot. That I will understand things tonight. Whatever that means. He told me have a girl's day and that he would miss me so much. What he doesn't know is that I have given up on him feeling the same for me. He probably wants to let me off easily and tell me who he's truly in love with. Because I know it sure isn't me. He already admitted that he met his soulmate. I'm gonna work through this and move on. I just have too for me and only for me. Maybe one day I will be okay with being only his best friend but for now it hurts. My heart is still broken. It still hurts. It hurts so bad. But, I'm able to make it through the day without crying now. Which is good. Really good. I am making progress. Slowly but, it's still progress.

"Hey Maya are you okay?" Lily asks as we walk through the crowded mall. "You've been quiet for some time now." 

I look up at her with a shrug. I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for the hurt that is coming tonight. I wanna get my mind off of it but, I just can't. Shopping therapy isn't helping. Nothing is appealing to me. Michael gave me his card and told me to get whatever I want but I don't see anything I want. Of course Lily has. She loves shopping. Randy argued with her this morning and insisted on her taking his card but, she refused. But, somehow he got his way and told her at least split the cost of everything with him. Which she agreed too. I need some fun in my life right now. 

"Earth to Maya." Lily says stopping me from walking. 

I look at her again and give her a force smile. 

"I'm sorry Lily." I softly say. "I don't see anything I like to be honest."

"I know. There isn't much in this mall. We'll go do something else. I just want to stop and get something from Victoria Secrets. I wanna surprise my man with something. Since he's been so good to me." She says smiling big at me. 

I can't help but chuckle at her. 

"She does smile." Lily says jokingly. 

"Whatever." I say rolling my eyes. "Let's just go." I say laughing. 

"You so pretty when you smile." 

"Stop it." I whine with a giggle. 

"I don't get a compliment back?" She asks shocked. 

"Not with your ugly ass." I say walking ahead of her.

"Maya." She whines. 

I turn to look at her smiling big. I open my arms wide and she crashing into me. I take a couple steps back before gaining my balance again. People stare at us as they walk on by whispering things I roll my eyes at them. They just don't understand our friendship.
