. . .

You sighed as you shifted uncomfortably in your mother's car. You had been in there for about two days and frankly, you were getting a bit antsy. The reason you two were even making such a trip was because you were moving to a new house. Your mother is a designer and worked at a small boutique - if you could even call it that - when she got a job offering. Thing was, it was so far away, we would have to move for it. You couldn't blame her, it was too big of a buisness opportunity for her to pass up.

It was now about 12:32 am when your mom suddenly halted the car to a stop. Being too lazy to look out one of the windows, you just assumed it was another red light. You were laying down, almost asleep with your Siberian samoyed (husky/samoyed mix), (d/n) when the door closest to your head opened up.

"(Y/n), Honey wake up we're here." You immediately groaned, not wanting to leave the warm, fluffy embrace of your dog.

"Hnnnghookay.." You reluctantly pushed the dog off you and you both staggered out of the car. You looked around and took in your surroundings. Seemed like any ordinary suburban neighborhood. Despite all the houses, not many of them were owned so you could guess it would be fairly quiet.

"Could you take (D/n) and (C/n) inside for me please?" "Alright, mom," You spoke as you walked up to the front door and called both your pets names, the Siberian samoyed running in quickly while a somewhat large siberian cat jumps from the open car door and slowly walks into the house as well. You knew the moving truck wouldn't come until tomorrow, but you left the door open anyway since your mother decided to bring some items to the house herself. Most of them were toys and a big light blue dog bed. You rushed to help your mom with getting them out and into the house, making sure you got the little scratch post since you didn't want the easily bored cat to tear up the walls of the empty house right as you got here.

"(Y/n) come, it's time to eat." You walked to her as she gave you a corndog that she got from near a big gas station. She bit into hers while you twirled yours a bit and stared at the wall infront of you. You like walls, they're cool. They separate you from everything else and it creates your own little haven of solitude, and you think that's pretty neat of them. Thank you, walls.

Suddenly, a hand was waved infront of your face and you jumped out of your trance. you looked to see your mom looking at you slightly concerned, but you waved your behavior off as sleepiness and began to eat your corndog. You looked back at your cat who was in their little wicker cat house already asleep. When you and your mom finished getting the animal items in the house, you put them all in one room since it didn't really matter anyways.

Finally deciding to call it a night, you called out to your mother that you were going to sleep. You walked up to a corner and placed a pillow and a blanket down. You formed your blanket into a sort of taco shape so you wouldnt be touching the ground. Your mind trailed back to your old house, it was always snowy there. Here, it was so.. warm. Atleast to you it was, you made a mental note to talk to your mom about buying a kitty pool for your pets. You could be like that one video and put ice in it for your dog. You could picture how happy they would be and you smiled, not even realizing you were drifting off into sleep.
