Shadow P.O.V
I managed to snatch the sketchbook from Faker's backpack while he, Rouge and his idiot friends were too engrossed in whatever conversation they were having together. Even that stupid armadillo was there as well and from how most of Faker's friends acted; even they seem to know him before he came to Station Square High. That same annoying feeling entered me again, causing me to growl quietly, irritated. 'Why the fucking hell am I feeling like this, every time I think of that armadillo?'
After walking outside, to the football field where there are very few students. I sat down at on one of the bleachers and opened the strange book to a random page. On the page was a beautifully sketched drawing of the red echidna doing a thumbs up while wearing a towel around his neck, grinning.
'Did...Faker drew this?' I thought as I stared at the sketch in awe. The signature of his name, at the right-hand bottom of the page answered that question for me. I kept turning pages, looking at each sketch he had drawn. Even though I (think) have no more respect for him as a powerful rival, I couldn't help but be impressed at Faker's talent in sketching out these very realistic drawings. But there was also a very crude doodle of Scourge which got me a little amused because of how accurate it is, despite suspecting it was intentionally drawn horrible.
But as I kept going through Faker's sketchbook, I started to notice that there didn't seem to be a single sketch of me in the book. Not even a small single doodle in of the page corners. I then came across the remains of a torn off page in the book, with a sketch of Rouge laying sideways behind it. Which I immediately suspected that the torn off page, was a sketch of me. I felt a little hurt like what happened in homeroom; but much more increased. I knew Faker is trying to get over his feelings for me, but the fact that he could've ripped out the (suspected) sketch of me; made me feel somewhat miserable. Despite that; I continued looking through Faker's sketches, despite the mood now becoming rather melancholic, to extremely tense the moment my eyes laid on a sketch of that armadillo doing the same pose as Rouge but with a very idiotic grin instead.
I growled at the damned sketch as I felt the urge to tear it straight out and ripped it apart so much, it'd be impossible to prove it even existed.
'You goddamned bastard!' I furiously thought to myself, still glaring at the sketch with practically all the hate I could muster. I didn't know how long I had a one-sided staring competition with the sketched "armadillo", but after some time; I heard the school bell rang, signalling the start of the next class period. I had P.E next with Faker.
Taking in a deep breath to calm myself down, I placed Faker's sketchbook in my bag and started heading towards the school building, on my way to the gym's change room. As I kept walking, I told myself the same thing from this morning, that I don't love Faker and I'll always find him disgusting no matter what; not even his sketches can change my mind. But a small part of me started to doubt myself.
Sonic P.O.V
I slammed my gym locker shut, after putting on my school jersey. Mighty (who's locker was on the other side of the boys' change room,) was also doing the same as well; but ended up putting a huge dent in the locker door from pushing it shut, much to his embarrassment and my amusement.
"Oops! My bad!" I heard Mighty said, that nearly caused me to laugh before heading over to him.
Knuckles was also there trying to reassure Mighty, who looked like the same shade; as his own shell from embarrassment.
"Don't worry about it too much, Mighty. We can fix it later after P.E while were changing back." He said.
I also chimed in, "Knucklehead is right, Mighty. No need to feel embarrassed about it."
