I have no idea what drove me to do this... but I guess it's too late to back out now.

I was in a soba restaurant with Akatani and we were both eating cold soba.

"So you like cold soba as well?" I asked as I ate some of my soba.

"Well..... no?" He said sounding unsure.

"Why is that?" I asked as I continued to eat.

"I've never had cold soba before" he said as he ate some of the soba.

I nearly choked on my soba.

I swallowed the soba I nearly choked on then looked at Akatani confused.

His surname is Aizawa and was even introduced as one of the teachers' son.

So he SHOULD have a supporting family and be able to buy and eat something as simple as soba, a common comfort food.

Yet

He's never had soba before and two things make me a bit uncomfortable.

He is visibly uncomfortable with talking about his quirks.

I saw this when I was going to approach him and he was still talking to that tall wind guy.

He had no problem naming his quirks but seemed to have a problem when asked how he had seven quirks

He has a medical eyepatch underneath his hair on the right side of his face.

I saw this when we were on our way here and the wind brushed his hair enough to reveal about half of a white medical eyepatch.

"Hey Akatani" I said.

"Yes?" He asked lifting an eyebrow at my sudden tone.

"What happened to your eye?" I asked.

Akatani went silent and placed his chopsticks down for a second and just stared at me.

"You're stepping a line you shouldn't even dare tap" Akatani said darkly. "I get you want us to get closer or to know more but you entering my personal space is unhealthy you know?"

"So his eye really is a sensitive topic"

"Right apologies" I said and we both continue to eat our soba.

The silence and tension was so thick we would need a meat cleaver to cut it. The only noise made was made as we ate our soba noodles.

As I ate my soba, I pondered what to do next.

Akatani is clearly unwilling to share the story of his eye.

I can deduce a few things from that along with his previous behavior in the exam up to now although some pretty obvious ones.

•His right eye has some form of injury or even scar.

Conscious on some body parts mainly right eye and arms

Conclusion: Akatani could possibly be a victim of abuse especially since it's not impossible for a hero to commit child abuse I should know due to having seven quirks and the scars are results of this abuse.
