"I can't believe you fell for the ol' fake crying baby, oldest trick in the book!!" He bellowed. His trusted companions orbot and cubot laughed and teased me along side him. "You've always had such a big heart."

"What are you going to do to me Egg Head!?" I tried to shake off the bots holding me captive. It was nearly impossible, they were high class Eggman tech afterall.

"I'm going to keep you prisoner and get some answers out of you."

I gulped, the menacing smirk on his faces emit shivers down my spine. I wouldn't talk, I hope he knew that. I'd never give up my friends. He was an evil genius though, I'm sure had ways to make me talk.

"Orbot! Cubot! Please blindfold and escort miss (Y/N) to her cell."

I heard an explosion outside Eggman's ship. No doubt the efforts of Sonic and the Resistance.

Despite my best efforts I was blind folded and carried to my cell. What kind of horrid place we're they taking me to? What horrors awaited me?

The cell was surprisingly nice. Sonic and the gang had told me about their experience in Eggman's prisons. They said it was cramped, cold and filthy. Hard bed and no food for days. Either they lied or Eggman was plotting something.

The cell I was in was huge, like a small house with no windows. There was a bathroom, a kitchen and a queen sized bed.

I can not describe to you the sense of whiplash I got when I took off my blindfold and saw the cell.

If this was a scheme to keep me locked up, it was genius. I would willingly fight off Sonic to stay here.

It had been little more than an hour since I last spoke to Eggman. I had explored the house, no exits, no vents, nothings. There wasn't even a door.

Oh no, I guess I'll just have to lay down on my new queen sized bed and enjoy the soft covers.

The bed was soft yet firm, the perfect mattress.

I looked around the room.

There was a soft outline on the wall and a button.

I got up to investigate.

I pushed the button and the door opened slowly.

Inside there was an array of dresses. Beautiful dresses with unique designs on each. They were color coordinated ranging from different sizes and styles.

I looked through them, eventually I picked a lovely sundress with a floral pattern. A far cry better than the rags I formerly called my clothes.

Can't fight evil if you ain't cute.

I kept my shoes despite the collection of prettier ones. If i needed to run I wanted comfortable shoes not prettier, cleaner and new...

So I changed shoes. Don't judge you would too!

They weren't heels, I opted for basic converse that matched the color of the dress I wore.

"Okay enough fooling around!" I said admiring myself in the mirror.

None of this made sense in the context that I was a prisoner.

This seemed like the kind of effort you'd go through for a princess or someone of high value. I was but a common girl, picked up off the streets by The Blue Blur himself.

The kitchen was stuffed with foods. I didn't grab any, in fear of being poisoned.

I found cups, plates and knives, bingo. I grabbed one of the knives, bringing a finger to the point to test the sharpness.

To my surprise it got smaller. I brought my finger closer and it got smaller, avoiding my finger entirely.

I jabbed the knife at my wrist. No damage was done. I held the handle on my arm, I laughed. It was like those fake toy knives.

I stabbed the counter, it didn't retract leaving a mark in the wood.

"I designed them myself."

I turned punting the 'weapon' at the enemy's voice.

"It'll retract once it detects a living being but will cut through any food without blunting." Eggman chuckled to himself, "Pretty nifty if I say so myself."

"Why am I here?" I hissed.

The enemy was alone with me, unaccompanied by his robot companions.  If I had an opening I could subdue him and make a run for it.

It's pain me to leave such a comfortable place but I valued my freedom over luxuries.

"You are here because I've taken an interest in you Miss (Y/N)," he clasped his hands behind his back, "I've designed this whole place for the sake of your comfort.

"You are here because I want to get answers out of you."

He walked towards me and I backed away.

"Why the luxury? If you wanted answers you could've easily put me in a box and made me talk!" I pointed the knife at his face, "I know your methods Doctor, I know the way you think! What is your end game here?"

"Well you see Miss (Y/N), I have one goal in mind. You're the only way I can achieve it."

"Spare me your flattery Doctor, I have no want to play your mind games! Tell me how to leave or I'll... I'll," The knife in my hand lowered.

"You'll what?"

My hand trembled. The Doctor looked down at me through his glasses, slowly walking closer to me.

I gasped as my back hit a wall.

Eggman stood at the end of the knife. It wouldn't hurt him, he and I both knew that.

I much as it pained me to, i lowered the knife and chucked to the ground.

"The smart decisión Miss (Y/N)."

He was close, dangerously close.

"Now let me tell you why you're here."
