Prompt: snowball fight || Pairing: Pha x Yo

"I should have just let him unpack his bag." Yo whined in frustration to Ming. He had to get out of the dorm room for a bit. Pha and him had started sharing Pha's dorm room after the whole incident with Park. The room was still quite large despite all their stuff, but it was feeling quite stuffy after his discovery. So, yes, it was freezing and it was still spitting snow but he most certainly needed the fresh air. Yo pulled more on the collar of his pea coat closed to keep the chill out.

"But don't you usually unpack it anyways when he gets home? It's probably just cuff links. You know how careful he was about getting you the bracelet. I doubt he'd be so careless about your christmas present." Ming suggested as he sipped his dark cherry mocha that they'd picked up at the stall near the entrance of the park.

"You're right and he didn't pack a suit." Yo replied dryly giving his best friend the side eye before reaching out to swat at him.

"Hey! It was a suggestion and maybe they are for you." Ming laughed dodging the arm with ease. His training in muay thai helping him.

"Well, suggest something better. He's wanting to go to Kakusareta's tonight. " Yo grumbled playfully nudging his best friend. Tonight they were going to share their christmas presents with one another before Pha had to leave to spend the holiday at his grandmother's house on his father's side.

"He's taking you to your favorite restaurant? How cute. Maybe it is a ring."

"That's not something better!" Yo droned. Though deep down he knew that wouldn't be a ring. Pha had already said he wanted to wait till they were out of college. Yo agreed with him on that because he didn't care about a piece of paper when he had the man he loved beside of him.

"Well, then just tell him you saw the box? Wouldn't that be easier than just pretending you haven't seen it." Ming nudged him back. Yo thought about that for a moment. Yes, it would be easier to just say something but what if it wasn't what he thought it was. Yo inwardly grimaced not wanting to follow that train of thought to its station.

"Then what if they are cuff links?" Yo teased to try to stay positive.

"What if it's one of those key necklaces? That's supposed to represent the key to his heart." Ming taunted back.

"Oi! P'Kit's right. You're a brat." Yo said reaching over to the railing of the bench beside of him gathering up snow. He quickly molded it into a ball and tossed it at Ming. He couldn't help but laugh as Ming lost the grip on his coffee. The remains spilled on the ground spraying Ming's boots with red blotches.

"No, you're the brat." Ming joking yelled as he reached for his own hand of snow.

"Don't you dare."

"Then you shouldn't have started it!" Ming laughed as the two of them started throwing snowballs back and forth at each other not caring about anyone seeing the campus moon and popular moon behaving like this. It was all fun and games till Yo slipped. Ming reached to catch him but he too slipped.

"Ouch." Ming complained as he landed in the snow beside Yo.

"You okay?" Yo asked not being able to stop the laughter bubbling up his throat.

"Yeah, are you?" Ming chuckled.

"Yeah." Yo replied staring at up at the cloud filled sky. He released a shaky breath that didn't go unnoticed by his best friend. He'd planned his gift for months ago and he didn't want to be surprised with his own gift being given to him.

"Hey, all jokes aside," Ming said reaching over to nudge Yo stirring him from his thoughts. He knew his best friend, "if you don't want to ask then you're going to have to take the risk when you open it tonight."

"Okay." Yo replied giving him a nod in understanding.

"Now let's get up before we get sick." Ming stated getting up first then helped Yo up.

Thankfully, Yo had been able to forget about the presents for a little bit but with the boxes looming on the table his brain couldn't help but focus on them. He was at Kakusareta's - an exclusive japanese restaurant that he was sure that Pha had to have either his father or Yo's get him a room. What makes Kakusareta's so special is that instead of an open floor plan there was sixteen small dinning rooms with doors that single patrons or couples can use for privacy while they dine. Which of course is where the two of them are now. Pha sitting across from him talking happily about something that had to do with the last CSR trip as they waited for their dessert to come.

"Hey, are you sure everything is okay?" Pha asked him again. He'd asked in the car but now the man was sure something was wrong with his boy. Pha tilted his head looking him over carefully when the younger man answered him by saying he was fine. However, he could tell Yo was stiff in his shoulders and he'd been glancing at the present boxes at the end of their table.

Ah Pha thought now grinning. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure the issue. Their gifts were in identical black leather small sized Bulgari gift boxes  The only difference is the that Yo's had a golden tag on it.

"What?" Yo asked feeling the heat rising to his cheeks.

"I think before our waitress brings us our dessert how about we open our gifts." Pha suggested watching Yo's throat bob slightly as he swallowed nervously the coke he was drinking.

"Sure." Yo agreed with an unsure tone.

"Then I want you to open yours first." Pha smiled reaching for Yo's gift.

"Uh...o-okay." Yo replied taking the offered box removing the tag. The butterflies started to calm down as he saw that his boyfriend was practically beaming happiness. If they did get the same gift it would be because they both had similar tastes in jewelry which wasn't such a bad thing.

"Now, I'm sorry the box was deceiving." Pha explained trying to make his boyfriend more comfortable "I was over at Beam's and I forgot to get a proper box."

"Wait...what?" Yo said his gaze dropping down to the box opening it up quickly. Inside where there would normally be some jewelry or accessory perched in between the black velvet folds was a plastic badge. Yo's eyes widened as he realized what the badge was for.  His heart started racing shifting his gaze back to his boyfriend's face. "You..."

"I thought it would be the perfect vacation for us to go to the con. You wanted to do the meet and greet with some of the cast from One Piece and I thought-"

"I love it. Thank you." Yo interrupted him. The dread leaving him as he clutched the collar of Pha's dress shirt pulling him into a kiss over the table. The two of them finally separating when the knock on the door let them know that the waitress had arrived with their desserts.

"Come in." Pha said after he finished straightening his shirt. Their waitress made quick work of refilling their drinks and serving their desserts before leaving.

"Now, your gift." Yo stated while trying not to laugh as he handed Pha his box "Mine's not deceiving though."

Pha chuckled despite rolling his eyes, "Very funny, baby."

"I'm a hoot. now hurry up." Yo replied letting himself completely relax.

Author's Notes: I hope that you enjoyed this. I had fun recreating a moment that happened to me. I was horrified when I saw the same box down to the tag type on christmas. I am so glad though that my fate ended up like Yo's.
