Tyler and Genevieve have been alone inside for a while. In the living room, no one spoke a word. Not only was there an air of uneasiness but one of hunger. At least, for me. I only ate two omelets this morning, yet I'm still hungry... My stomach suddenly growled, breaking the silence. Kisa, who sat next to me, let out a small giggle. "We literally just ate a little more than an hour ago. Why are you always so hungry?" Lucia complained.
"Not my fault I enjoy eating."
"And have a bottomless pit of a stomach," Victor added.
"If I puke up my omelet you can have it," Kisa grunted, looking rather pale.
"Are you ok?" Cassie asked. She took a pillow and hit me across the head with it. I stood up in shock and she took my seat.
"I'm ok... I think... I'm just worried about Genevieve."
Clarissa huffed in the back. "Got a problem, beauty queen?" Lucia spat.
I waved my hands anxiously in the air. "Ladies! Let's not fight! We need to just calm down and-" I toppled onto the floor as Clarissa pushed me aside.
She threw her hair behind her shoulder and glared at Lucia. "I don't need attitude from you."
Lucia rolled her eyes and looked away. "You're the one who's been yacking all morning about her boyfriend and balling her eyes out over nothing."
"Nothing?! Like you would know! You've never even been in love."
A dark and gloomy expression passed over her face but then vanished as if only a fleeting thought. "I haven't. Probably why I don't go nuts over jealousy 24/7."
"JEALOUSY?! Me? Jealous? Oh please!"
"You literally started yelling at him for going grocery shopping with a friend. It just happened to be a female friend. So, you went crazy."
Clarissa's face turned dark red. She stomped her foot on the ground and a whirlwind pushed the sofas apart. Tyler yelled as he was thrown back into the room he had just come out of.
"STOP! STOP IT BOTH OF YOU!" I shouted.
Clarissa broke into tears and clung onto my shirt. "I'm just afraid I'll lose him!"
Everyone gave me uncomfortable glances as I tried to separate myself from her. "Uhhh... Tyler is over there," I pointed. However, she didn't budge. I tried lightly pushing her off, but she clutched me tighter. "Uhhh... I didn't shower?"
She suddenly let go and sniffled, "ew".
Tyler was up on his feet again and walked towards us, his face drenched in sweat. "Genevieve is fine now. I just let her rest a bit."
"Oh, thank goodness!" Kisa cried.
Lucia, Cassie, and Kisa crept into their bedroom to check on Genevieve. Victor and I came face to face with Tyler and Clarissa. No one spoke a word until Clarissa started to sob again, but more dramatically than before.
"What now?" Tyler moaned.
"I can't do this anymore!" she wailed, running out of the room.
"Ugh... CLARISSA!" Tyler chased after her.
"Wow... those two are so exhausting. They make me tired just looking at them," Victor sighed.
"And hungry..." I sadly motioned over my stomach.
