^^^^^^^Aizawa's POV^^^^^^^^^
Can't I get a wink of sleep around here? I just ran miles to save a kid and now I have to deal with this.
From my peripheral, I see the child I saved firing questions at point blank radius. Some of which even surprise me.
"What are those? Where are we? Are we on a car?"
They have never gone outside before. It isn't even a question.
"How much did you do to run so fast?"
What does that mean-?
The toddler calms momentarily, pausing to take a deep breath, their light grey eyes slightly downcast.Their body tenses slightly as if waiting for retribution.
"What are heroes? Are they like you? Or do they range in type and sizes?"
...Shapes and sizes?
"Kid..." I start and their body seems to tense even more now, wound as tight as a bowstring.I furrow my brows.
This child is really not as untouched as they seem.
"....Maybe you could rest for awhile? Aren't you tired?"
The kid's eyes slightly widen as if shocked from the response and quickly tries to cover it up, shaking their head so violently to the point that I was surprised they didn't get a whiplash."Mm. Mm. I have so many things to see and remember". The five year old says in an extremely excited manner, which was simply too adorable for one human to take - though I will never admit that..
Fine...
"I'll give you a short tour okay? Follow my actions attentively" I say.
It's not like I'm going to sleep anytime soon, might as well use my time for something beneficial........>>>> The rest of the journey was spent on me pointing out various buildings and structures to a kid who was literally vibrating from too much excitement>>>>>>
Finally, after what seems like forever, we reach our destination; the police station, specifically the headquarters where underground heroes like me go to report our findings.
I open my door and tiredly step out, blinking my eyes a few times: the kid following me and sliding out of the car.
I deserve some well earned sleep tonight.
Turning to the kid, I see them looking around in awe and wonder. I swear I can literally see sparkles and flowers surrounding the kid.
What the hell?...
"Kid, we're going in. Stay close alright?"
The kid nods and almost literally sticks to my side like glue.
Sighing, we walk over to the building. At the entrance, Nemuri, in her hero persona, is bouncing with glee."Oh My God! He....she.....whatever is so cute!", she says as she pinches the confused child's cheeks not quite sure what gender to classify them as.
"?", the child tilts their head in confusion, looking at the woman clad in black with a questioning expression as if asking her to explain or elaborate.
"Awww...." While she continues fussing over the confused child, a well-known detective who works closely with heroes, Tsukauchi approaches me. He glances at the woman-child duo before shaking his head and turning back to me."We have matters to discuss, right Eraserhead?"
I nod following the man along many corridors and towards a room marked 'interrogation', leaving behind the duo.
I hope I won't regret leaving that child with her.....
