^^^^^Still Aizawa's POV^^^^^^

Tense, Tsukauchi and I stand still looking at the sunset colour haired child in anticipation.

Their gaze shifts rapidly from me to Tsukauchi as if contemplating something, then walks over to me and tugs my sweats.
Looking up with the most innocent and curious face, they ask:

"Mr, what is a crush?"
I feel my eye twitch.
What the hell Nem? I left the kid with you for how long and you already-

With a sigh, I drag my hand down my face slowly, just about done with today.

Opening my mouth to get it over with, the door slams open.
.
.
.
Right outside the door stands a panicky and panting looking Midnight.
"Aizawa, Tsukauchi, not like I've lost the kid or anything, but have you see-" She stops right in her tracks when she sees said kid.

My eye twitches again.

^^^^^3rd Person's POV^^^^^^

Two grown adults; one man, one woman, shrink away from a very menacing but tired looking Aizawa whose hair is suspended in the air with bright red eyes. A murderous aura surrounds him as his capture weapon bellows around him gracefully.

The only thing in the mind of both adults being 'holy c***' and 'I'm glad I'm not in her position right now. Aizawa sure can be terrifying when he wants to be.'

Midnight begins to back away quite fearfully wanting to escape the terror that is a tired and annoyed Aizawa.

"Uhhhh.... 'zawa, don't take it too harshly I-"

She doesn't have the time to finish before Aizawa; way too tired for this turns off his quirk, allowing his hair to drop back to their non-gravity defying position and his capture weapon to settle around his neck.

^^^^^Aizawa's POV^^^^
The atmosphere is silent and tense once more.

I rub my eyes tiredly, with a small scowl on my face.
"D*** you for making me use my quirk."

Getting my eyedrops from my pocket, I apply a few drops to both of my eyes.

"Midnight, don't worry about it. It's not logical to worry if the kid is right here anyway."

Nemuri nods, while my face returns to my default restin-b**** expression.

The woman in question runs a hand through her hair, looking older than she had a second ago.

She was a part of the mission too...

With a wave of Tsukauchi's hand she's heading out the door with a wave of her own, leaving only me, Tsukauchi and the kid- Iris Aiko here in the interrogation room.

I sigh to which Tsukauchi follows shortly after.

The tense atmosphere dissipates a little and gives me a very subtle and light sense of relief.

"Okay kid, you have to cooperate with us alright?"

The kid nods their head sharply as if bidden.
I glance towards Tsukauchi just as he glances towards me...
Good, he saw.

"Do you know what a project is?"
They nod their head again.

"Yes, I do. A project is the use of a large amount of resources and efforts to achieve a certain goal, prove or show a certain aspect of an ideal or provide solutions towards a certain problem."

Though on the outside I have my resting-b****-face on, on the inside I have many, many questions.
The hell? This kid looks like they're about 5 years old.

However, I refuse to voice said thoughts, keeping them to myself.
Tsukauchi seems to be caught unawares by the kid's answer as well, his cool and collected facade faltering for less than a nanosecond. In less than a blink; he goes back to normal.

"Okay then, the people who had you so-to-speak, do you know their project or aim of said project perhaps?"

The kid shakes their head slowly, posture looking a bit folded into theirself.

"No, I was never told about their goals or what they aimed to achieve."

I unintentionally quirk a brow at the kid's phrasing.

The short black haired man sitting across from me stares at the kid for what seems like hours, until his dark obsidian eyes are looking at me. Suddenly, he looks much older.

"The kid may not know what the objectives of the NGESF are. Asking the kid about what they did to them might be..." triggering....

The word was left hanging in the air unsaid.

There is another tense silence which continues for what seems like hours... until the silent ringing of a cellphone sharply cuts through the air; a quiet melody playing softly.

Tsukauchi dips his hand into his coat pocket and picking up an old looking phone, stands up and goes outside.

The silence continues for a short while before it is again broken by the soft and quiet voice of the kid.
The kid turns to me, a little downcast...
"Mr, what is 'short black haired' man trying to imply?"
Short black haired man?
.
.
.
Then what am I?...
....'Long black haired man'?
I snort and raise an eyebrow in question.
"Nothing you should worry about kid."

The creak of the door cuts our 'conversation' short.

A coat-wearing, tired looking man comes in. He plops down quite ungracefully on his former seat.
"The chief of headquarters called, said he wants you to take care of the kid."

I, for the second time in a row, am caught unawares and my eyes widen a little...
