Alex POV
I waited till night fell to change into my costume, even though after dinner I could barely move after eating next to nothing. I just felt like a potato stuffed in a corset, then made to wear a heavy weights around my neck. I still managed to climb out the window and by climb I mean my bedroom was on the ground floor of the house and I still tripped on the way down.

Getting through the garden and around the house was easy. Finding a person under 5,5 or weaker than me that I might have a chance at not being beaten, was hard. I stood on the roof of some random building that took me at least an hour to get there and climb up. I wore my white leotard with my denim jeans because it was too damn cold to wear leggings. I contemplated wearing my coat but my white one was in the wash, I was regretting not bring one of my other ones as I stood outside in the cold, shivering, waiting for the next person to walk by.

I had my headphones on, balancing and walking around the buildings roof wall about an hour later. There was no one who looked weak enough while also having money on them to steal from so I was just waiting. Knowing my luck, I should have known better then to test it but there was nothing else to do on the roof.

If my power was stable invisibility, then I would have gone down in the street naked (while invisible) and stole from any person I saw but I wasn't, so I didn't in case I ended up being caught by the popo for public nudity.

I started to really test my luck, jumping on one foot along the edge, spinning around, moon walking, sliding. Spoilers, it didn't end well.
I was about to try the splits when my foot slipped of the edge and I started to wobble. Unlike other fellow supers though, my agility wasn't very good, I fell and landed on my arms funny and I hit my funny bone that sent weird shivers down my body in a disgustingly gross way. I was lucky enough to fall on the roof side instead of off the building though, which I was happy for. I sat up and hugged my legs to my chest while resting my head on my knees.

Maybe it's time for me to stop. I was bad at this to begin with, other supers who have a stable power can deal with f*cking up the world because I'm clearly no good at it. I let out a sigh and stood up, I looked over the wall of the roof, down at the pavement. I couldn't be bothered to get hurt again so I used the stairs down the roofs hatch. This shop I used has a detector for people getting in but not for people getting out. The hatch to the roof also has no detector or padlock , so this is.... Was my go to place for 'scoping out suckers', turns out I was the only sucker.

After leaving through the front door of the shop with no security cameras and rubbish detectors, I found myself sitting down on the side of the road pulling out a cigarette and a lighter. I held it the way I saw someone else hold it and lit it, burning the end of the cig. I felt cool.... that was before the whole cigarette lit up in flames and I had to let it go before it burnt me. I sighed again, I only had one, trust me to light the whole thing up whilst not paying attention. I didn't even know it was possible.

I put the lighter back in my jean pocket and rubbed my face with my hands. I pulled out my phone and noticed it was 2:00 am so I decided to go home. On my way home I noticed a boy, I think, maybe about my age, looking like he was doing something dodge in an alley. Of course, like the responsible adult I was, I walked on by and decided not to do anything that would be interfering. That was until I heard the voice speak.

I backtracked to where I could hear the voices and listened around the corner. They were laughing and I was interested, I mean, come on! Who decides to have a conversation at 2am that isn't dodge?

I could just about see them, the boy I had seen had his face to me but it was hidden behind a jumper. I made sure not to make a sound and quickly stepped back when I thought the boy saw me. He clearly didn't as he carried on with his conversation before leaving the higher pitched voice, I assumed was a girl and turned around another corner that I thought led to a dead end. The girl walked my way so I stepped back again but she didn't even look my way as she came out the alley way and turned the opposite side of me.

When she left, I decided to see what the boy was up to, I slowly creeped up by a side of a bin and walked around it, trying not to trip on anything. I gradually came up to the corner of the wall and peeked around to see the boy smoking in the dead end. I was not stupid enough to steal from him or even interact with him. He reeked bad boy energy over all the pee and garbage around me. I just decided to watch him. He leisurely took small drags and the smoke lifted out of his mouth with a sense of poise. It was almost beautiful that I could not look away. But I did.

I turned around to walk back down the alley and home. I was almost there when there was a whistle behind me and then the girl from earlier blocked my path. I looked back to see who whistled and it was the smoking boy who clicked a gun in my direction.

F*ck.
