"Another mystery solved by the Mystery Gang, a group of high school students who single-handily solve paranormal mysteries all around the state with the occasional out-of-state project. Their identities are known by few and the ones that do are sworn to secrecy, but our gratitude goes out to whomever they are..."

Violet smiled at the article displayed on her phone; it was another news piece to add to the pile. She took the last of her things out of her locker before slamming it shut and starting on the journey down the halls. People knew Violet from classes and her connection with the Delilah Lancaster but mostly she went unnoticed. She had a skill for scurrying down the hall, diving underneath bystanders' arms, and speeding around slow students. She scanned her surroundings as her hands subconsciously pulled down her orange dress.

She smiled when she finally spotted who she was looking for, "Niall! Let's go. Liam is waiting for us by the van." She pulled him by the collar of his green shirt, not noticing that he was talking to a girl.

"Violet!" Niall hissed. "Couldn't you see I was busy?"

The two traveled towards the student parking lot and once he realized Violet wouldn't be letting him go he started to walk on his own. They exited the hallway and reached the parking lot where Liam and Delilah leaned against Liam's SUV, a cream luxury vehicle.

"Where's Louis and Zayn?" Violet asked and tugged at her dress again. She glanced over at Delilah, her red hair blowing in the wind as her short purple dress made her looked cold, but if she was, she didn't show it.

"Probably in detention or something," Delilah said just as the truck door lifted opened, causing Delilah to nearly fall if Liam hadn't been there to catch her. The two mischevious boys' faces appeared lounging in the back of the car.

"We skipped sixth period. A new adventure fell into our laps and we couldn't help ourselves," Louis informed, the usual boyish smile plastered on his face. "Stop standing there and get in; we got some work to do people!" he shouted.

Niall and Violet hopped into the back while Delilah got in the passenger seat with Liam as the driver. Before anything, we had to drop by Delilah's house where the van was parked and hidden under a tarp.

After the slight drive to the Lancaster's anything but modest abode, the gang was settled in their usual spots in the van. Liam drove with Delilah next him, a set-up which never changed. The back of the van had computers set up with upholstered seating and "totally groovy" shag carpet, as Niall called it. The seating could be flipped around and there was a foldable table that created a great place for eating, playing cards, or doing homework.

"So where are we heading boys?" Liam asked, looking in the rearview mirror at Louis and Zayn who were both looking at a computer,

"Reports of ghosts have been made at an all boys school an hour and a half away," Zayn explained, "Bellermine Preparatory," he added. Louis scribbled down an address and passed it to the front where Delilah could put it into the car's navigation system.

"So an all-boys school? That should be interesting," Delilah turned to Liam, who had a stern look on his face, "Oh, get a sense of humor."

The problem with Delilah was her bluntness towards other people's feelings, but she tried her best with the gang and Violet often saw it as a strength.

After two hours of driving through LA traffic, the gang finally arrived at Bellermine Preparatory, where a brick wall guarded the intimidating academy. Once everyone had spilled out of the van, Zayn and Louis automatically begin doing an inventory of their supplies while the rest of the gang chatted.
