The next day, the hallways were filled with the tired faces of high school students that only wanted to get this day over to get to the weekend. For Violet, her sleepless look was caused by the fact that she knew that once school was over for the day, she would have to work all weekend with the gang.
She felt comfort in her English class seat because no one from the gang was in the class and she also spent the class to herself. Even now, her thoughts floated around one question:
What's going to happen to the gang after high school?

"So explain to me what's going on," Niall said as he sat down next to Violet in Sr. Mendez's class.
"Niall, we learned this just yesterday," she scolded, looking at one of her best friends. He was smiling sheepishly at her and she complied.
As Violet explained the lesson to Niall as best she could, two girls could be overheard behind Niall.
"Did you hear that apparently, that mystery gang is just a group of really hot guys. And that if you ask for their help they must help you." one of the girls said. She was a senior who was just hormone-crazed.
"Oh, Mystery Gang! I need your help, there seems to be a problem in my pants." the friend exclaimed and a huge grin was plastered on Niall's face, and he burst out laughing when he looked at Violet, who had to cover her mouth to contain her own giggles. For them, it was always fun to listen to people's conspiracy theories about something that was right under their noses.
One of the popular boys in our class, who seemed pretty close to Liam, leaned over his seat so he was closer to girls. "I heard it's two boys and two girls and the two girls are smoking hot," he confided, nodding his head with pride.
Violet fell quiet in response but Niall turned to them, "Well I heard one of the guys has only one eye and a peg leg," he added on to the crazy stories about the Mystery Gang. It was a creative outlet and a way to spin rumors out of control enough to stop people from ever getting close to the truth. He leaned back in his seat and continued to stare intently at his paper with Violet's scribbles all over it now, "By the way, Louis' looking for you. I think he needs your notes from yesterday."
Violet nodded in understanding, "What other stories have you been telling people about us?" she whispered,
"I've told people that two of them are old members of N'Sync and the other three are from Backstreet Boys, that is the best one I thought of, but there are others about eye patches and Frankenstein and I'm pretty sure they all believed me too. This is why I like hanging out with the stoners every once and a while," He responded, furrowing his eyebrows before starting to scribble down answers to the questions.

By the time the lunch bell rang, Violet was exhausted and was sort of glad she was going to skip sixth period. A familiar mane of red hair could be spotted in the distance sitting at a lunch table away from all the student activity. A telltale sign that there was news to share.
"What happened?" Violet didn't waste time and handed her notepad to Louis. He gave her a small smile as she sat down next to him.
"Mr. Armstrong contacted me today saying another boy has reported seeing a green ghost with red eyes this morning," Liam said. "We're making up a plan to interview the boy, but we don't know a good cover that would add up."
"Couldn't we just tell him we're the police trying to get information for the report?" Violet offered. The two usual cover-up stories for the gang were that they were police in training given a small investigation or that we were a school newspaper doing an article.
