Chapter 1 - Preparations

For the past weeks, I've been doing absolutely nothing. I haven't started packing things for college. Ugh, I'm too lazy to do it, but I need to start moving, or else mother would kill me already. I've been telling her I'll do it someday, probably she's already mad at me right now for being lazy. I wonder if Samantha did her preparations already? I looked around for my phone to text her. God I'm so clumsy, why is my phone on the floor this time? I hope it didn't fell from the bed. I texted Sam.

-Hey Samantha! You did your preparations for college?-

I waited her replied. While I'm waiting, I went downstairs for a while to drink water. The moment I got down, mom yelled at me. Please, don't get mad at me. I'm already thinking what excuse I'm going to say to her this time. She called my named out loud, I was about to say sorry to her and explain things out. But unfortunately, she's in a good mood. What? How? Well, doesn't matter, as long as she's not mad, I'm fine.

"Chloe!"

"Yes mom?"

Mom looks so happy, woah, a rare sight too see.

"You seemed puzzled out?"

"Huh? Me? Haha no I'm not!"
"I'm just happy too see you in a good mood this early"

"Of course I am!"
"Have you heard of the news?"

"News? What? What do you mean?"

"Oh, so you don't know anything yet?"

"In what context? Mom, how would I know something if you don't tell what the subject is all about?"

"Haha nothing!" She said while giving all smiles on me

"Chloe, you need to prepare for college now. Sam asked me if you bought books and materials already, I told her you haven't, so why not buy with her today?"

"That.. was actually my plan right now."

"Oh good, hurry up preparing, you don't want to be busy this following days"

"Ok... I'm going back to my room now, I'll leave later to buy things with Sam."

"Ok, let me know when you're leaving."

I went back to my room afterwards. Mom is in a weird mood. Anyways, I never let anything bother me for a while, I need to prepare.

Ding!

Oh Samantha replied, finally.

-Chloe!-
-Sorry I just woke up hehe-
-Anyways, aunt told me you haven't done any preparations yet-
-Ho ho, Lazy!!!-

-Sam. Mom also told me you haven't done anything as well-

-Oops-
-Anyways, wanna buy books today?-

-Sure, what time?-

-uhhh..-

I looked at the clock, 8:26 A.M., still early, but that's better than late.

-How about 9:15?-

-Okay! Thanks for giving me ample time to prepare!

-Mhm, don't go back to bed anymore! I'll be waiting at the park. 9:15! Don't be late!-

-Copy that mommy Chloe!-

I jumped out of my bed full of energy. I did some stretching for a while. I didn't waste any time, I took a bath, then went downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Hey mom, I'll leave by 9:10"

"Sure honey, take care!"

I finished eating breakfast, just in time. It's 9:00 already, I should leave so I won't be late. I messaged Samantha before I left.
