Chapter 5 - Approach

Summer ended, damn. It was fun while it lasted. I made my remaining days of summer vacation memorable, I practiced a lot of digital drawing, and me and Carl talked, a lot. At least I was able to tell him the things that's happening to me while he's gone. Now, I'm in college, I can't believe it. I am few steps to graduating, and yet here I am still lazy. Its the first day of classes today, but I haven't gotten up of my bed. I looked at the time, oh neat, I still have few minutes before my alarm pops in. Surprisingly, I woke up earlier than my alarm would wake me up. Chloe, this is it, this is college, I need to be serious. After a few minutes, my alarm triggered, so I stood up and took a bath. I wore my uniform then went down for breakfast. Hmm.. mother isn't awake yet, anyways, I'll just eat some bread so she won't wake up anymore. I took some bread and put some jam in it. Took my bag and went out of the house. I texted mom that I went out already so she won't go downstairs to prepare food anymore.

I need to be responsible, so, I'll start it right now. I'm on my way to school, though it's still early, but that's better than being late.

Ding!

I checked my phone to see who texted me. I wasn't expecting anyone to text me this early. Oh, it's Sam.

-Chloe! Where are you? Do you wanna go to school together?-

-Sorry, I'm already on my way to school.-

-Wow, you're so early!-
-I'll see you in school then!-

Few minutes passed and I arrived at the school. I waited for Sam in the library, it sure is quiet here. I looked for a good place to stay, I occupied a 2-seater desk. I texted Sam that I'm in the library. So while waiting for her, I browsed my phone for a while.

Minutes have passed, someone approached. I thought it was Sam, but when I look at the person.. what the...

It's James, the guy that I like. What is he doing here? He sat in front of the desk where I am currently seated, and surprisingly, we are facing each other!

Ugh, he's just so cute. I tried not to catch a sight of him, but I just can't resist. I keep on looking at him, I should stop, or else he'll find it weird. I kept myself busy by browsing my phone, but that still doesn't work. So, I distracted myself by texting Carl.

-HEY! HELP!-

-Huh? What happened?-

-The guy that I like is sitting in front of me!!-

-Oh cool, talk to him then-

-YOU'RE NOT HELPING!-

-If he's seating in front of you, talk to him dumbass, you're only making it awkward-

-He's not literally in front of me! I mean, the desk in front of me, but he's seating facing me!-

-Oh! You're horrible at describing.-
-Then, wave to him, when he looks at you-
-You know, pretend that you accidentally looked at him-

-NOT HELPING!-
-Just, talk to me for a while, I need to get distracted-

-Why?-

-I keep on looking at him, its weird!-

-Haha, weirdo-

-Not helping-

-You told me to talk to you, so I am-

-Oops, my bad-

-Changing the topic, where are you, I need you here-

-Still on my way.-
-Surprising, you're early-

-Heh, what do you expect from me? I'm responsible of course!-

-Uh huh, I believe in you-

-Just hurry up and go to the library already-

-Uhm, about that... I don't know where the library is-
-I mean I'm new to the school remember?-

-Oh yeah, good thing you said that. I'll give you a tour later!-
-Tell me when you're at the gate, I'll fetch you there-

-Alright, thanks Chloe-

-Sure, please, hurry, I really need to get out of this place-

-LOL, then get out of there-

-I don't know where to stay then-

-Wait me at the gate then-

-You're still far!-

-Why do you even know where I am already?!-

-Well, no, but I don't want to wait there-
-Just tell me when you're near the school-

-Sure sure, good luck there!-
-Remember, if he looks at you, smile!-

Damn it, conversation ended already! Ugh.. I can't take this anymore. I should just lower my head down and pretend to sleep. As I lower my head down, my phone ringed, I nearly died out of surprise. I checked my phone and it was Sam, finally!

-Where you at Chloe?-

-LIBRARY! HURRY!-

-Okie-

Thats it. Thats the conversation? Damn it Sam. I waited for Sam to arrive, I fixed my eyes in the doors, please Sam hurry up already. I just don't want to look at James, I'll look like a stalker or weirdo if he notices me.

Ding!

Another message, from Sam.

-Chloe, could you wait for a second? Kylie wants me to wait for her, she said she's near the school already.-

-Ohh, sure sure. Take your time-

UGH! Bad timing Kylie.. well, I can't complain anyways. This is so bad.. Please Carl hurry up already, I wanna go out. I accidentally, accident, not intentional, looked at James, well not actually look, but I got a glance of him while I changed what I'm going to look at. Supposedly I would look at my right side, but things went different. When I got a glance of James, he was... looking at me?! What?!

That moment, I stopped, so I stared at him, while he was looking at me. I looked confused, but my heart is beating fast. He smiled at me, then I smiled back. He waved hi to me, but... I looked away from him, I'm too shy to wave back..

I heard him giggle, God this is bad.

Out of the sudden, he stood up, so I looked at him, then he was approaching my desk.

WHAT THE HECK?!

Please Carl, please, I'm begging you, I need you already!!

God, help me. Please. I think my face is turning red already.
