Jack was waken by his mother shouting at him in her usual demenor.
"Jack! Wake up, you'll be late for school again!"
He wished he was still asleep, he tried to pretend he was, until his dog, Bob, jumped on top of him, earning a grunt.
"Yeah, yeah I'm awake" He moaned.

He arrived at school at excatly 9:00. Only ten minutes late, he thought. Most people were heading off to classes by now and he had missed morning meeting, At least Ms Key didnt see my clothing, she would have gone berserk at the black, he was thinking as he looked at the sea of greens and browns that made up the school color code.
He was heading to class when he bumped into his 'best friend', Max, she was wearing the usual: jumper and jeans with the same red bandana as always around her neck. He had feelings for her but would never act on them.
"Hey Max" He exclaimed with enthusiasm.
"Hey" She replied with the touch of venom he was becoming more and more used to. To anyone else she would have sounded fine but he could hear it, the light venom that she used in every word spoken to him.
"Um.. Bye, talk to you later" He mumbled with the same dissapointment he had everytime he heard that venom.
"Yeah, sure" She said displeased.

When he reached the classroom he sat with his friends, Bella and Emma.
"Hey Jack, how are you?" Bella said happily, she was always this way, it was calming.
"You know, meh" He replied in turn.
"Meh? Come on, are you happy, excited, frustrated" She pried
"The feelings thing? This will end well" Emma said lazily.
"I don't know" Jack mumbled.
The teacher walked in carrying our grades for our past tests.

As they all walked out of the classroom, Bella spoke up
"Well that was a great class huh?" She said with enthusiasm
"Yeah" Jack and Emma said like robots
After a little walk they reached their usual place at recess and lunch: The Library. Ben and Phil, more members of "The Group", were already waiting there.
"Hey Jack" Phil said with a laptop in hand "Look at this" He continued as he proceeded to show Jack a wall of black with indeciphrable white text on it.
"Uh.. Cool" Jack sighed
Just as he finished speaking he saw Max and Jodie walking towards them. He felt his heart skip a beat, it always did this when he saw Max, it always broke though when she started talking.
"This is gonna be a loong day" He sighed to himself.
