After recess, Jack had drama, Yay, an entire class with Max, this'll be fun, He thought as he walked towards the hall. He met Max along the way.
"Hey Max." Jack said trying to sound as happy as possible, almost the exact opposite of how he was feeling.
"Sup" She replied
More venom, great, Jack thought
"Uh.. What did you have last class" Jack enquired, trying to grasp onto any version of a conversation
"Humanities, we had to write an essay" She said annoyed.
"Oh, that sucks" Jack said slowly sinking into his thoughts as he did while talking.
Did I do something? Was it me? What did I do? Can I fix it?
When he snapped back into reality Max had diverged her attention to Jamie, her best friend.
Before he knew it they were at the hall. As they walked in the entire class was sitting in the front row with Mr. Clarkson talking about the newest asignment.
"Alright everyone, I have your script that you balloted for, make sure you have a highlighter, pencil and paper. If not you can run to your locker to grab them" He explained
Jamie immediatly went to Max.
"Hey, Max, can we share your highlighter" She chirped
Jack made his way to where they both were sitting.
"Hey Max, can I borrow you highlighter" He said slightly nervous
As soon as he had said highlighter, as if she had already made up her mind she snapped
"No! If you really want one, you can run down to my locker"
"Be quick Jack, 30 seconds" Mr Clarkson said
Jack immediatly dashed for the door sprinting as fast as he could, wiping some tears that had pooled at the bottom of his eyes after Max had finished speaking. He sometimes wondered why he bothered trying, with anything at all, it just ended badly.

At lunch he had to go to Room 7 to do some left-over homework.
Ms McDurthy was waiting with his homework sheet
"Here you are Jack, make sure it's in on time, next time." She scolded
"Yes Ms McDurthy" he wheezed out of breath Damn I'm unfit he thought as he sat at one of the tables and begun the homework.
20 minutes later he got a message from
Max: Where are you? :).
He sighed as he read it, some moments like these he thought, maybe just maybe everything would be good.
He replied: room 7, doing homework.
He half expected her to come find him but, come end of lunch, he walked out of the room in solitude.
~~~
His last 2 classes were fairly mundane and as soon as his last class ended he made his way to Room 6 where Max would be. He found Jamie grabbing stuff out of her locker.
"Hey Jamie, have you seen Max" He said solomnly, he usually sounded or at least felt this way by the end of the day.
"I think she is over at Room 4 with Bella" She chirped with glee.
"Thanks" He said as he walked away.
He found Bella and Max standing at the lockers, Bella was grabbing her things and Max was chatting away happily. As soon as Jack walked up, though, she died down a bit. That didn't hurt at all, He thought angrily, also another 'end of the day' trait.
"Hey Max, Hey Bella" He sighed. Bella immediatly picked up on this
"Hey Jack, are you ok?" She said with concern
"Fine" He replied quickly.
"Alright, Bye you two" She said unsure.
As she walked off towards the Gym, Jack and Max walked towards the Bus Bays.
"So, how was your day" Jack tried
"Fine" She said quickly "Would you ever get a tattoo?"
"Um.. No, i'm not good with pain" He said, he hated pain, couldn't deal with it at all.
"Wuss" She said under her breath, but loud enough for him to hear.
"Yeah...um... bye." He said saddly.
~~~
When he got home he immediatly went to his room and layed on his bed.
