One day

A boring day

Jack woke up, still sick from yesterday, he was coughing and as Max would describe it "dying".

He really didn't want to go to school today, he tried to overact his sickness in an attempt to get a sick day.

Long story short, It didn't work.

The day was incredibly uneventful, apart from lunchtime.

There was exams in the Library where they usually hung out so they went into the courtyard, their back up spot. Everyone was there, Max, Jodie, Emma, Bella, Phil, Ben and Sarah. He was kinda out of it so he sat a bit away from everyone, except Ben who was sitting behind him.

He eventually layed down on the bench, but before long he fell off earning him some unwanted attention, from everyone. He stayed on the ground with a scraped hand until Jamie walked over, she was just as 'caring' as Bella and noticed Jack was down, she started prying a bit.

"Are you alright?" Jamie asked

"Fine" Jack replied

After many "Ok?" and "Fine."s, she stopped. He was at peace, for about 3 seconds until he noticed Max cuddling up to Jodie. He snapped, he gathered all of his thing and he walked off, the last thing he heard was Jodie asking "Did anyone notice Jack walk off".

Eventually after a lap of the school, Jamie and Bella caught up to him.

"Why are you guys following me" Jack said still looking forward, he was wiping tears off his face, he couldn't let them see.

"Because.." Bella said.

Jack turned around, probably with a tear still in his eye.

"Why are you guys following me" He was sounding annoyed, he really didn't want to"

"Because we wanted to see if you were ok" Jamie said as she sat beside Jack on the bench.

"I'm fine" Jack said, he sounded unconvincing to even himself.

"Fine? I could say it's a fine day or I could say it's a sunny day or a lovely day. How are you?" Bella explained

After contemplation Jack replied "I'm okay" He said better than before

"On a scale of 1 to 10, how are you feeling" Jamie asked.

This was a tough question, on one hand he wanted to be honest and say he was feeling about a 2 or 3 but on the other hand he couldn't let them see how he felt, he couldn't let them worry.

"I don't know" He said.

Bella and Jamie talked for a while before Jack butted in

"Great chat, I should be going" He said as he walked off. Neither of them tried to stop him, he was happy about this as well as sad.

Later he came back to the group.

"Where have you been?" Max asked first.

"Looking for Mr. Clarkson, I have no idea where we have English"

"S3" Jodie said immediately.

"Sweet" Jack said excited.

After school they talked about formal next year and all Jack could think was
