A mournful tale left untold,

Like an abandoned defunct well,

An evil soul waiting to resurrect,

Expands its story web to unfold.

Far away a family put to repent,

For an old heedless dark sin.

Forgotten sin sucked them to,

The never-ending sinkhole.

Men inside it are paying its price.

One of them died accidentally,

Next disappeared mysteriously,

The last one lost his sanity.

A powerful family in the village,

Women in it forced to seek refuge,

Of the powerful Clan Goddess!

"O merciful deity," a lady spoke.

"Please protect our blood."

All pleaded in the chorus.

In a second they heard an Oracle,

Saying," Never sin, if committed,

It always remains deep skinned."

Time travels long ago to revisit,

An injustice occurred to a pure soul.

Long ago in the same clan born,

A girl baby with a graceful aura

Blessings bestowed by the Goddess.

Yet her father desired a male heir,

To inherit his family business.

He rose like a demon and pulled her,

To feed her the poisonous cactus sap.

She drank it drop by drop slowly,

Then the death engulfed her wholly.

Her soul roamed around barren lands.

"How to compensate?" asked the lady,

The Oracle reached with a clear reply,

"Committed sins sinks to skin deep,

As one sow shall they reap."
