Hello there, my name is John M. Wood, the author of As Told From The Wheelchair: A Fight To Survive.
I wrote this book under the pretenses of not being sold to any publisher and the manuscript would sit either on my thumb drive forever or sit in a binder in a desk drawer for 100 years.
But no, this book is probably sitting on the shelf in the literature section of Walmart or on the Autobiography section of Barnes and Noble, waiting for some lucky person to take it home and become enthralled in the many stories of childhood and adulthood, both serious and happy stories,but nonetheless it was created to bring awareness to you the readers about a disability that 30 years ago was a death sentence both literally and figuratively.
But as a 25 year old man living with the most severe form of the disability, I'd like to think I'm doing pretty well for myself.
I have a wonderful family and an army of followers who have also grown to love hearing my stories.
As well, I hope you apply some if not all of the meanings written in this book to YOUR own life, and see exactly how I've been able to stay the positive man I am today.
