"20 years ago, my disability was not as common, nowadays it's seen a little bit more frequently"
Spina Bifida, the disability labeled as "deadly", a disability for which no cure is offered, only painful experimental surgeries and other options that would make even King Kong buckle at the knees.
I've learned to look at my disability in this day and age as a modern option to what could have been.
No I do not have Bluetooth capable rods and I do not have a speaker system in my shunt but I do know that the medical professionals have offered some promising treatments, some might help more than others.
Modern day Spina Bifida is a walk in the park compared to the old days where you never left the hospital and when you did it was to go to another hospital.
All in all, Spina Bifida is a pain in the butt but it's something I'm getting better at.
They say "Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover", well I don't care if you judge me, I am who I am and you can't change that.
You've only seen the cover of my story, the next step is to open the book and start reading the story.
Once you go deeper into the story, you will find there are more things you can find out about that person.
So, take some time and read the entire story, you will greatly benefit from that experience.
