The giant, Hagrid, led us to a set of rickety looking boats.

I grinned as Jase, Pinecone Face, Death Breath, and Gemmy paled.  "No... boats.." Pinecone moaned.

Suddenly, all four of them swiveled to me and glared.

I shuddered. "Yes, I'll keep you safe."

The four backed off.  They got into a boat together, which was a bad, bad idea.

Annie, I, Leo, and Cali got into a boat together. (Awkward.)

The four remaining - Piper, Frank, Reyna, and Will were in a third boat.

The moment we set off, I gently started rocking just the boat with the Big Three children in it.

The four of them turned as white as Nico.

We started out over the lake, and a voice came to me: Lord! Lord!

Who are you? I asked telepathically.

The giant squid, Lord Perseus.

There's a giant squid? Cool! What's your name?

Sachiel, my lord. Will you visit us sometime?

Of course!

I turned to Annie. "Did you know there's a giant squid named Sachiel?"

"Really?" She asked. "Cool."

I turned my attention back to the boat that my cousins were in. I caused the waters to pick up, so only their boat was rocking.

We turned around the bend. "Wow," Annabeth breathed. She launched into a full on rant about architecture that I ignored.

"Cut it out!" Thalia yelled at me a few minutes later. I dumped her boat into the water.

Ten minutes later, we tagged behind the group of first years. Needless to say, I was covered in burn marks and as pale as death. And covered in little scars from scratches I healed with water.

Jason, Thalia, Nico, and Hazel were furious. I kept protesting that I'd said I'd keep them safe - nothing about not dumping them into the lake.

Professor McGonagall (daughter of Athena who attended camp well before our time) frowned disapprovingly at the five of us.

She suddenly winced, and I knew she was thinking we should be able to play while we had the chance. "I am Professor McGonagall," she announced in a no-nonsense voice.  "Please follow me."

As she turned, she mouthed a word at the twelve of us. 'Thank you.' We knew for what.

McGonagall- that's too long I'm calling her Minnie - led us into a large room.

At the front of the room was the teachers table. Sev, and a couple other teachers sat there. There was one pink toad-like woman that everyone seemed to be glaring at.  A weird looking hat sat on thin rickety stool.

The hat opened its mouth and sung a song about the four houses, yada yada.

At the end, though, a couple lyrics stuck out at the end.

Those who come from lineage pure

With powers dating milenia

And those who rose

From the ashes of four

Together, stronger, half-bloods and wizards must work together

But beware, those defeated will rise

And live together, or die as two.

Annabeth's face paled. I bet she has some idea. I'll ask her later.
