All those prophecies - were they past or future? More importantly, were they about Perseus or me?
I, after all, was already a subject of a prophecy.
"Did you get the prophecies?" Ron asked me as we left Divination.
Thankfully, we had a break, then lunch, so we could spend some time looking at the prophecies.
"Yeah," I replied, "Self-copying quill."
"What did you get?"
I pulled out the sheet of parchment. It said:
"A half-blood of the eldest ----,
Shall reach sixteen against all odds,
And see the world in endless sleep
The -----'s soul, ----- blade shall reap
A single choice shall end his days
----- to preserve or raze."
"You shall go west and face the ---- who has turned
You shall find what was stolen, and see it safely returned,
You shall be betrayed by the one who calls you a friend,
And you shall fail to save what matters most in the end."
"You shall sail the iron ship with warriors of ----
You shall find what you seek and make it your own
But despair of your life ---- within stone
And fail without friends, to fly home alone."
"Five shall go west to the ---- in chains,
One shall be lost in the land without rain
The bane of ---- shows the trail
---- and ---- combines prevail
The ---- Curse one must withstand
And one shall perish by a parent's hand."
"You shall delve into the darkness of the endless maze
The -----, the traitor, and the lost one raise
You shall rise or fall by the ----'s hand
The Child of ----'s final stand
Destroy with a ----'s final breath
And to lose a love worse than death."
"Go to Alaska
Find ---- and free him
Come back by sundown on June 24th or die."
"To North, beyond the ----, lies the ----'s crown
Falling from ice, son of ---- shall drown."
"----'s daughter walks alone
The Mark of ----- burns through Rome
Twins snuff out the angel's breath
Who holds the key to endless -----
----'s bane stands gold and pale
Won with pain from a woven jail."
"Seven half-bloods to answer the call
To storm or fire the world must fall
An oath to keep with final breath
