Back with another chapter. I apologize for the late update.

"We have to keep moving...well, at least some of us do. The rest of the team is still on their way and can probably clear the debris from the temple entrance. There's still something going on further in the temple so I'll go ahead to put a stop to it," (y/n) said after things went quiet. That sound belong to a beast that would surely cause Lanox troubles if it were to leave the temple. That was something (y/n) was almost certain of.

"We don't need to split up. Several demons are still in the temple. Eun senses them," Ara stated. (Y/n) almost smikred before speaking. "You and I aren't splitting up. I could use your help if you don't mind. Elsword isn't in amy condition to fight and Chung's missiles could cause either side harm if he uses them. It's best if he stays and keeps the leader safe," (y/n) said as he stood up. Elsword was going to die if they remained trapped in the temple and whatever was already in the temple would try to kill them once it found thwir location. (Y/n) didn't want any of his new teammates or Ykuei, his only lead to his mother's location, to be killed.

"I'm going with you," Ykuei said with a determined look in his eyes. He was useful and if he had as much mana as Rena claimed he did, he was likely powerful to some extent. "No. You stay behind. They recognized you. I'm not risking you getting kidnapped and held hostage by them again," (y/n) said to which Ykuei pouted. It seemed that Ara nor Chung had any objections to his plan amd Elsword seemed to have passed out although (y/n) had faith that he was still hanging on to his conciousness and fighting through the pain.

"Illipia, isn't there something you can do for him? I don't like seeing Elsword like that. I'm not sure if my own self healing can be transfered either," (y/n) thought as he stared at the suffering knight. Elsword was one of the ones who believed in him and didn't no d his secrets. There was no way (y/n) would allow him to die or do nothing to at least ease his suffering. "I grant you a small amount of my power. This will counter the burn affect but it won't last for a long time so act quickly. A danger awaits you but do not kill the beast you face," Illipia answered.

As soon as she finished speaking, a small pillar of light quickly appeared reaching up past and through the ceiling. When it disappeared, a stone glowing in gold and pulsing with life remained in its place. It startled them all for they hadn't expected it. Even (y/n) hadn't been prepared for the sudden appearance of the stone. "Have him hold it. It should heal him and anyone nearby for a period of time," Illipia explained. (Y/n) picked up the stone and handed it Chung.

"Have him hold this. We'll be back as soon as we can. Let's get going Ara. Somethimg tells me we don't have much time," (y/n) said. He turned towards the rest of the temple and eyed the hole that Chung had created in tbe floor of the temple. "We'll have to go around that though. You think you can get us across it?" Ara asked as she stared at him expectantly. (Y/n) hadn't expected her to ask that. He had never tired leaping such a distance while being responsible for another person's well-being but for Ara he could make an exception and hope he didn't screw up.

"You trust me right?" he aaked as he held a hand out to her. She nodded and took his hand allowing him to pull her towards him and sweep her off her feet. She held on to her spear and made sure that she didn't accidentally hit him. The jump was easy to make but the landing was what (y/n) worried about. Wothout his hands free to steady and stop his fall, he overdid the leap to be sure he had time to fogure out how he would pull the landing off. His feet touched the ground and just when he was sure he was about to stop skidding across the floor, he nearly tripped.

Much to his relief, Ara helped out and stopped them from falling by using her spear to strike the ground. Luckily, the floor didn't start to crumble under them and (y/n) was able to put Ara down safe and sound. "That wasn't as bad as I thought," Ara muttered to which (y/n) shot her a look of hurt. "I thought you trusted me," he said. Ara smiled at him in apology. "I trust you but that was still a little scary," she admitted before walking ahead. It was a realistic thought but it still sort of hurt his feelings. Instead of worrying about it, he went ahead and followed after Ara.

The temple was oddly baren and there didn't seem to be any threats nearby. The near silence was suddenly interrupted only after a few minites of them walking. A snarl from what (y/n) knew to ne a demon was heard. He and Ara had long since detected their presences and were already prepared for a fight. They were the same type of demons as the ones that arose from the lava. Eun's power erupted from Ara and (y/n) already had his full aura in use from his earlier battle. His tails swayed in anticipation of the coming fight.

With ease, he darted forward taking down three by striking them with brute force. What he didn't expect was reprocusions as he backed away from the second wave of them. Ara clashed with one using her spear to keep it at bay. "Be careful not to touch them. They'll burn you," (y/n) warned as he examined his quickly healing hands. Direct contact with them was harmful but he was okay since his healing was quick enough for him not to take any permanent damage.

"Eun says they're spawning from somewhere. We just need to pass them," Ara said as she cut right through two with one swipe of her spear. They promptly exploded afterwards and Ara landed perfectly right next to (y/n). "I'm sure I can at least get us pass them. Killing them would be more preferred but I guess we don't have time for that. I'm about to make this much easier but you might want to be ready to jump to safety," (y/n) said. Ara seemed to understand easily and went back the way they came stopping only when she was a good distance away.

With Ara a safe distance from him and enemies closing in, he thought a single word and struck the ground with as much force as he could manage. He had already lept back towards where Ara stood the moment he made contact with the floor but he hadn't expceted most of the floor to stay intact. Half kf their enemies were dropped into the lava they likely came from. Ara had already set out to destroy them not even having tomove from her spot to do so. (Y/n) stepped back aa she swung her spear around her at uncanny speeds.

Her spear caught fire and she built up enough speed before performing some sort of martial Arts strike that sent a wheel of flames right at the center of the demon wave. Fighting fire with fire seemed to be rather effective despite how contradictory it seemed. (Y/n) did not complain and quickly disposed of the reat of them demons before stopping at the edge of the pit he had created in the floor. Ara met him there and looked into it along with him.

"So the entire temple isn't fragile. Good to know. Want to try this again?" (y/n) said as he held a hand out to Ara once more. They would likely need to repeat their actions over and over until they reached the end of the temple. "I trust you," Ara said with a slight laugh before taking his hand. Their task was far from over for the beast still remained hidden in the fire temple.
