"Hello, is anyone there?" Marinette asks.
"Help me! Come anyone please get me out of here?" Marinette screams.
Marinette's POV:
She does not recall how she got inside the machine. She does know she was beside Max with a controller in her hand Saturday night. She should have known better than to have let him talk her into playing this game in the first place. She has yet to beat the game.
She takes a deep breath as she tries to figure a way out of here.
Two days later, Max goes to school unaware of what has happened to his cousin Marinette. He notices she does not come to school but thinks she is late.
Later after school, Adrien attempts to contact Marinette. She is his best friend. Her phone goes right to voicemail as the signal is weak right now.
"Have you heard from Marinette today?" Adrien asks Max.
"No, but I also have not seen her since Saturday," Max says.
"Something must be wrong, I tried to call her, but the voicemail picked up. " Adrien says.
"Adrien calm down. I am sure she has a good reason for her absence from school today." Max remarks.
"Max, Marinette is my best friend. You have to believe something is wrong. Why do you not believe me?" Adrien says angrily.
"Adrien, have you seen Marinette? She owes me $45.00." Alya says.
"No, and I worry about her," Adrien says.
"Alya, Marinette is missing and all you can say is she owes you money? " Adrien is so ticked off.
"What makes you think she is missing?" Alya asks.
"Yes, Adrien do tell us," Alix says.
"She does not answer my phone calls or text messages. Usually, she at least replies with a text message and an emoji." Adrien replies.
"Man, she probably just stayed home because she is sick," Max says.
"Adrien and Marinette have been best friends for the longest time I can remember," Chloe says.
"I think it makes sense my half brother hear worries about her," Chole tells them.
"Nonsense she is just out sick so calm down people," Max says. He shakes his head and goes home.
Back with Marinette...
"Ah, what am I going to do?" Marinette screams again as she continues to dodge the falling stars around her. She knows she is at level one of the game.
"Max, where are you? Please get me out of here!" Marinette yells out of fear.
With Adrien...
Adrien goes home ticked off with the others. He does not understand their doubts. He knows that Marinette is in danger. He is sure of it. He goes to his room certain Marinette is missing.
The question is how to prove it.
