when the world was created, heaven and hell ruled together in harmony. the inhibits of both regions, angels and demons, were peaceful. they carried out their duties in the mortal realm without interference.

until satan became power hungry.

he realized how fragile and trustworthy the angels were, and he used that to try and overpower god.

but demons can not pass through the gates of heaven, every soul must go through judgment to see if they are pure enough to enter, and demons are the very embodiment of sin.

god was outraged, and pushed every demon and satan himself back into hell with his bare hands. he banned his angels from interacting with demons, and declared heaven and hell were enemies.

to this day, angels and demons are not allowed to visit the other regions. for demons can not enter heaven.

but angels can enter hell.

once they do, all of their purity manifest into sin, and their wings either fall off in a slow, agonizing process, or they become black. they say everytime this being flaps their midnight wings, a human in the mortal world dies.

demon and angel classification

drudes

drudes are sleep demons. they cause nightmares and hallucinations. they are usually sent to the mortal realm to tournament a human who has done bad in their life, to try and push them to end it all. drudes are usually the more timid of demons, as they work from the shadows and don't cause direct chaos.

incubus

an incubus, along with its female counterpart of succubus, is a lust demon. they travel to the mortal world for their own pleasure. they pray on innocent humans as they sleep and use them for their own benefit. once an incubus imprints on a human, that human is doomed to hell and tied to their demon. incubuses usually are flirtatious, and don't take nicely to being rejected.

angel of death

a ligite, most commonly known as an angel of death, is not a angel at all. they are tasked with collecting souls and bringing them to hell. they are usually cocky and manipulative, and pride themselves on being the 'higher species' of demons.

fallen angel

a fallen angel is a angel that survived the process of de-purification. they usually keep their wings, but sometimes, the body of a angel simply can not handle the overwhelming heat of hell, and they rot and fall off. most die in this process. fallen angels are tasked with informing ligites of human and angel interaction.

common demons

common demons are the usual demons one would think of when someone says hell. they cause trouble in the mortal realm, everything from being summoned with a board to haunting certain places, common demons are usually the most aggressive out of all the classes.
