Freedom.

That's the only thing that's on Yeosang's mind as he flies.

He's flown near birds, airplanes, even other angels, but he never truly feels free.

Being a Messenger, he knows that his role in heaven is very important. He knows that his job is dangerous.

But he also knows the Gates of Hell deeply intrigue him.

His advisor always gets on his case for interacting with the demons, But he can't help it, they confuse him so much. When a messenger is sent to deliver a letter to hell, they are not to actually interact with a demon, for it is forbidden by god. They are to leave the letter in a box, and a demon will  return later to retrieve it.

But Yeosang never follows the rules.

He always goes as far to the gates as he can, but he never enters. A demon tasked with watching the gates sees Yeosang, gets their higher up, and they come out to get the letter.

Just like today, in which the same routine has occurred. Yeosang doesn't always get to relay messages to hell, most of the time he's sent to another country in the mortal world and drops off the letter directly to an angel. But today, he felt giddy inside when Advisor Wheein told him he was to send a letter to hell.

Yeosang stands patiently, waiting for the Watcher of the Gates to come and retrieve his message. He looks almost fake standing there, his pink hair and eye makeup, his white clothing and fluttering wings, and the halo hovering upon his head. Surrounding him is nothing but dead foliage, dirt, and foggy air. Any other angel would run at the first sign of dirtiness, but Yeosang always stays.

"Ah, Yeosang. Another message? I was expecting you when someone said an angel was at the gates." The watcher of the gates, Taemin, gives Yeosang a flirtatious grin, and the younger angel blushes and looks away.

"Y-Yes, a message. From the advisor of the common angels."

Even though angels and demons are no longer allowed to interact because of heaven's law, sometimes, with acceptance from god, messages are to be sent to hell and vice verse.

Today, the letter is directed to the Fallen Angel division, about a common angel who disappeared two years ago. Advisor Sunmi fears that the angel survived de-purification, and request that a report on the angels status be sent back, and no further interaction will be needed.

Taemin takes the letter from Yeosang, minding the hand contact, and reads the contents before smirking. "Ah, I know who this is about. Our newest angel."

Yeosang perks up at Taemin's words, and the demon chuckles. "You can tell your advisor we'll send a report on your little runaway, if Advisor Jinwoo feels like sending a report. Thanks for your work, Yeosang."

Even though no other angel in their right mind would show respect to a demon, Yeosang bows and makes his way back up the path leading to the gates, and once he's reached a point to where he feels comfortable, he flaps his wings and starts to make his way back up to heaven.
