Epilogue

3rd POV 

Jenna sat in the house crying knowing what Ericka had done. Stefan was comforting Elena as Anna simply held Jeremy. Damon had gone back to get Ericka and make sure Klaus was dead. Elijah took Ericka at her word and spared Klaus and got him away from town safely. Tyler had bitten Damon earlier that evening, so Damon was dying and Caroline was with Tyler. Damon called ahead about Klaus getting away. Damon came in carrying Ericka's body. It was cold to the touch and pale from lack of blood. Ericka watched from the Other side as her family grieved. She watched as she was gently laid on the couch and how Jeremy held her lifeless hand. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. A woman didn't say anything merely walked in like she owned the place.

"So this is Miss Ericka Gilbert. The strong but forgotten twin. The witches on the Other Side are very interested in her." she said

"Who are you?" Jenna demanded 

"Well your niece drunk the potion that my coven made for the Original vampire, Elijah. I am merely here on my coven's behalf to make sure the potion worked. After all Miss Gilbert is a fellow witch, so the potion should not only bring her back in 8 weeks time but she should be stronger than ever. "

"Wait so that means she'll live?" Anna asked for Jeremy's sake

"Of course. Miss Gilbert is very good at research and asking questions. She found a way to contact my coven a few days ago because the Mikaelsons tend to turn to my coven for much of stronger variations of magic like escaping death."

"So you said 8 weeks she'll wake up?" Jeremy asked 

"Of course child. You must Jeremy. I asked her for who she trusted most and your name was out of her mouth before I finished the question. When she wakes she will be disoriented and will need the ones she trusts most around her. If she doesn't trust you she will attack. So Jeremy and someone named John should be the only ones in there with her. You will need to jog her memory of what happened. While weeks will pass for you all the knowledge she will be granted and taught by the Other Side will be years worth. Knowledge that has not been taught in centuries. Ericka is a very special witch. She needs to be trained for what is to come. I will return in 8 weeks time to check up on her and help her adjust."

The family merely nodded and John prepared to lift her off the bed and take her away. 

"My name is Adelaide Gaunt. I will see you all soon." 

John carried Ericka up to her room while Anna and Jenna came in and helped give her a bath and change her clothes. John kissed her forehead. 

"I will be here when you wake baby girl. I promise things will change." John whispered 

Ericka was to be trained on the Other Side by witches from varying Eras and ages. John was ready to be the father to her she so desperately deserved. Jenna would be ready and accept being a vampire and Jeremy wanted to train and be a Hunter similar to Alaric. Anna and Pearl were going to move into town and buy a shop to sell herbs and remedies made by their witch friends. Elena would go back to the Salvatore brothers but Damon was finally broken of Elena's manipulations. This summer would be bringing a lot of changes but Ericka would be back to keep an eye on everyone.
