Chapter 2

Over the next couple of weeks, Elena had broken in with Stefan and was eerily quiet. Vicki started hanging at with Damon and quit taking drugs, Jeremy quit too, and the finally broke up but stayed friends

Vicki and Jeremy's grades were slowly rising, and Jeremy has become interested in art again. Vicki and I started plans for spring break to go to Mexico. Damon said he'll pay for it if he can come with. Who was I to turn down a free vacation? Vicki has started wearing these scarves they look really pretty, but Vicki got nervous when I ask about why she decided to wear them. Over the next couple of days, I hadn't heard from Vicki so I dressed up as a fairy and went to the Halloween Bash. I wasn't there long and saw Elena and Stefan running out back I chased after them. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing. Vicki was biting Jeremy's neck and drinking his blood. Time seemed to slow down when I saw Stefan throw her across the parking lot. Vicki charged Elena after Elena hit her with a plank. I never moved so fast that one moment I was standing of the door  and the next I was getting stabbed through the stomach with a plank. I couldn't breathe. I was in so much pain. Stefan and Elena were there but I was starting to fade. I could hear Vicki and Jeremy screaming at Elena and Stefan. Next thing I knew. I saw blue eyes. I must have looked bad off from Damon's facial expression. Damon bit his wrist and forced me to drink some of the blood from it. I was so tired. I wasn't in as much pain as before. Damon carried me home I could hear Elena talking to Stefan when they thought I was asleep.

"I don't want them involved in this, Stefan. This too dangerous."

 "I'm not strong enough to make the compulsion stick, but Damon might be."

 "Fine but you don't go anywhere near Ericka after this." 

"All of a sudden you care?"

"For that kid you nearly killed yes."

 I was awake now and I put my dad's homemade gum in my mouth and ran to Jeremy's room. Before I bothered to say anything I tossed some of the gum in his mouth and waited for Damon. When Damon come in he held a finger to his lips and turned up Jeremy's music. 

 "Alright. I can't do what they want me to do. I knows you were awake, and they were right under your window so you had to of heard most of what's going on.

"What are you guys ?" Jeremy asked 

"We're vampires. I turned Vicki because one of her old drug buddies spazzed out and knocked her off the ravine. She had my blood in her system and it turned her."

"So that's why she attacked Jeremy?" I signed 

"Yes. Where I feed directly from the source, Stefan tried teaching her his bunny diet."

 "The scarves?" I signed

"She gave her consent." Damon said defensively 

"She would. She likes that kind of thing." Jeremy said 

"OK I have rules for us to stay friends!

1.) Friends don't eat friends without permission, 2.) If there is more vampires, I need you to turn us into

Buffy and Giles ASAP 3.) Stay my best friend and don't hurt my brother or me."

I signed Damon hugged me and told us to fake being compelled tonight and he would explain everything to Vicki Jeremy and I went to bed shortly after Damon left.
