Chapter 10 - Similarities

The recovery was slow and painful as my arm was broken so many places, but the doctors still manage to save it. And i got another interesting (and scary information); my back injury turned out not to be caused by a Zhao soldier, but one of our own. The eldest son of the Tai family, who was recognized me on the battlefield. Mou Bou smashed his head in front of his family, and then threatened them with death - obey and stay away from our family, or else he execute them with royal permission. Ten was with me after he fully recovered, he want to spend more time finaly together alone, but king Ei Sei give the orders to come back to the warfare.

In hindsight, I noticed that more and more white areas were forming in my hair. Pops laughed at me that I was starting to have my grandmother hair so soon, and I laughed with him. He knew why that was, but he was trying to make me feel better. Since I can't go to battle with Ten (Ou Sen "politely" suggested he cut off my head if I dare to go), I thought I'd ask for some help getting obsidian. Because the trade routes were even more obscured by the robbers, now the military is paying more attention to the fighting. I begged the old man to let me go to the nearest site (only a day and a half on horseback), but he stumbled upon himself.

I feel anger, and because I couldn't do better, I start to study from Ten's old books about tactics, or went to the workshop and continued to practice. - Haha, I hear you make Ol' Ou Sen totally out of his mind, sweetheart! Congratulations.

- Eh ... thanks? - I say uncertainty.

- Take your hands Off her, Kan Ki! I didn't call you for a hug! - Pops rises from the house and heads towards us. The ex-bandit immediately releases and bows.

- Some people don't like it, but i don't care. - I mumbled. Kan Ki's men nodded, then the scary haired one (I forgot his name) crawled a little closer.

- Shut up, Rin Gyoku! - The leader growls at him, but I let a smile.

- I'm aware of that. But since I didn't live in the city so long and my parents expected me to treat others the way they did to me.

Sure, ehy're scary as hell, but our style ... is really very similar.
