jack woke up early that morning around 5:45...he got up and got dressed into his school attire, rolled up jeans, nice patterned button up and a blue jean jacket to top it off. he went to the bathroom and brushed his teeth, combed his hair, and sprayed a more feminine cologne on...he thought it smelled better than the regular ones.

he walked down the stairs where he saw his mom in the kitchen cooking up breakfast like normal, his baby sister was still sleeping and his dad was sitting in his chair reading the paper and drinking some black coffee before work.

"hey ma" jack smiled as he hugged his momma from behind before stealing a piece of bacon making her smile.

"hi sunshine, how'd you sleep?" she asked before flipping the pancakes

"i slept pretty good, how about you?" he replied and she shrugged

"it was alright" she finished cooking and sat it all on plates before taking off her apron that covered her beautiful dress.

her daughter woke up and stumbled downstairs to eat some breakfast before going to school as well.

"bye father" jack waved as he walked out with his suitcase and waved bye.

his mom gave him a kiss on the cheek before he walked out of the house with his books in hand and got in to jonahs car. it was almost an everyday thing, jonah picking him up. sometimes he rode the bus.

"so what are we doing after school?" daniel asked

"well i'm going to have a shift at the diner...y'all can come in and work if you would like" jonah replied. his dad owned the diner and has more many years, he always told the boys that they can work whenever they needed to.

"i might unless i'm with christina, i'm supposed to take her on a date tonight" corbyn blushed at the thought

"i may have to babysit i'm not for sure, but if i dont then daniel you can come over" jack nodded at him. daniel was an only child so he was always lonely unless with the boys.

they arrived at the school and they all got out books in hand. they walked into the building full of many teens and headed to their lockers, of course corbyn walked to christina and carried her books to class as did jonah with tatum.

jack put his books up and grabbed the ones he needed before saying bye to daniel and walking to class.

it being only a couple weeks into the school year new kids would be coming...not always but sometimes they did get a new student.

jack walked into class and said hi to his teacher and sat down in his usual seat. he looked through his notes and wrote some extra things down while he waited for class to start. most everyone was in their seats when all of a sudden a taller brunette walked in, he had rosy cheeks and a cheeky smile...he sat right next to the curly haired boy...

"oh Mr. Herron, welcome to the school. i'm your teacher, Ms. Jen." she greeted and zach smiled at her and introduced himself.

"well hello, i'm Zachary Herron" he flashed the class a smile before sitting back down.

class started and jack tried to keep his attention away from the brunette but he couldn't...he was dressed in rolled up pants like jacks with a tighter tucked in white shirt and a leather jacket.

it wasn't to far from what most teens wore at that time but it sure was nicer on zach.

"hi" zach whispered causing jack to tense up

"oh uh hello" jack whispered back not really directing his eyesight to the boy

"jack...i like it, it suits you" zach read his name off of his notebook paper

"uhm thanks zachary..." jack retorted and zach rolled his eyes

"you can call me zach, i like it better. but only if you'd like" zach winked. why he winked? jack hadn't had a clue.

they continued talking in quiet as they worked. sharing glances here and there keeping uo their small talk.

class ended and the two walked out side by side. jack turned the opposite direction going to his next class and zach stumbled a bit.

"i'll see you at lunch" zach yelled and jack glanced his way before shaking his head in with a laugh and rolling his eyes.

jack didn't think he really needed any new friends, he had his best ones already. but he didn't mind zach, he was a nice guy.

"jack!" corbyn, his blonde friend yelled from their seating table.

"corbyn..." jack grinned as he sat down with his lunch at the table. corbyn had a beautiful girlfriend, as you know christina. she had beautiful wavy brunette hair she usually tied back in a bow. she would eat with her friends before meeting up with the blonde after or during lunch.

"so how was class" daniel his brown headed friend asked. the blue eyed boy didn't have a girlfriend, he was more focused on school. daniels father wanted him to go to college and become rather wealthy than they were at the time, he had high standards for their son.

"it was fine" jonah, the oldest of his friends replied. he sat next to daniel and sat down his tray. now jonah was a rather known boy in the school, with his good charm and looks he was 'popular'. his father as you know owned the diner down the road and all the kids would go there after school hours. he didn't have a girlfriend per say but tatum and him messed around. he wanted to ask her out but wanted it to be special, like she was...well that's what he would say.

they kept up conversation before a certain brunette walked over to their table and sat right beside jack.

"hi jack" he smiled as he stole one of jacks fries and grinned at him.

"oh uhm hi, who are you?" corbyn asked as he leaned forward so he could see passed his friend and at the brown eyed boy.

"i'm zachary, but you can call me zach. i just moved here" he shook hands with everyone around the table before sitting back down in his chair.

"so after school you wanna hang out or something" he asked and jack rolled his shoulders

"well i just met you and i might be hanging out with daniel or babysitting" jack replied and rolled his eyes

"yeah and? i'm no serial killer, but if you don't have a ride i have a car out front i'll drive you home in." zach spoke as he sat a hand on the boys shoulder before moving it quickly off of him.

"okay...okay, i'll see you then" jack replied before standing up and walking out the cafeteria. jonah and corbyn walked the girls to class and daniel went to his other friends as zach walked by jack.

"you know i'm not that bad of a guy, i just wanna be friends...i'm sorry if i'm making you uncomfortable i really don't mean to be a burden." zach spoke as he walked shoulder to shoulder with the boy down the hall.

"no, it's okay. i'm sorry, i'm just not that social sometimes, i apologize. i would like to be your friend, you seem like a really sweet guy." jack grinned and zach opened the door to his classroom.

"why thank you! i'll see you after school" he closed the door and walked down the hall and to his class.
