Merlin pov~
I drove to Christina house and I knocked on the door.
She didn't answer
"Come on Chris, open the door" I said still knocking.
She finally opened it.
"What!" She shouted.
"Can I come in please?" I asked
She rolled her eyes and moved aside to let me in. I sat on the couch and she sat beside me.
"Look I'm sorry for yelling at you and kicking you out my house, I didn't mean any of it, I just been going through some things you know"
She nodded
"So do you forgive me?" I asked
"Merlin, I can see the pain in your eyes so clear, I know you're still hurting"
I tried to ignore her.
"It's a reason why I wake up and visit you or call you, it's because people hurt the most at night and I know that's when you think about her"
I looked down.
"I'm not hurting" I smirked trying to make it seem like I was ok.
She shook her head.
"No you're not, I seen the gun in your bed, when I was over there" She looked at me.
"Just talk to me" she touched my hand.
I looked into her eyes.
"If it wasn't for Destiny, I would take my life the day Michelle died" I said calm with tears coming down my face.
She hugged me and held the back of my head.
Aaliyah pov~
I was outside Christina house getting ready to get my hair done, when I noticed Merlin car in the yard. I got out the car and walked to the front door, I was gonna knock but the door wasn't shut all the way, so I just opened the door and walked in.
"Thank you for being here with me, since Michelle passed I couldn't talk to anyone about this, you're a real friend" Merlin said to Christina.
"I'm gonna always be here for you, I'm just a call away" they smiled and looked at each other.
Then their lips got closer and closer, before they kissed. I stepped back outside and knocked on the door.
"Who is it!!" Christina shouted.
"Aaliyah" I answered.
She opened the door.
"Oh girl I forgot you was coming today, can we reschedule for tomorrow?" She asked
"But I really need it done today" I lied.
She took a deep breath and let me in. When I walked in, Merlin was watching ESPN acting like nothing happen.
"Hey Merlin" I greeted.
He turned around surprised.
"Oh hey Aaliyah, what you doing here?" He asked
"About to get my hair done, what you doing here?" I asked.
