Chapter 9

Lexa

I paced back and forth as I wait for the soldiers to give me an update. I sat down on my throne and heavily sighed I grabbed my dagger and twirl it around, where could have you gone to.. I closed my eyes and pinched the bridge of my nose. I've become impatient and worried, she still have that power to make my emotions go haywire despite years have passed. I threw the dagger due to frustrations and it directly pinned on the wall. "Lexa.." i heard Costia calling me but i didn't move on my seat nor respond. "Lexa.." she called again I could hear her steps going closer towards me. "there you are.. I've been calling you and you didn't answer" she said then sat on the arm rest of my throne. "what's wrong love?"she asked full of concern in her voice. As always.. She was there to fight my demons.. I sighed heavily and look at her. Her face is so angelic.. For the years we've been together she was constant from the beginning but what Anya said bothers me and didn't left my mind. She put her soft arms around my shoulders and slowly caress them. "Costia tell me honestly.. Did you know about Clark ?" i  said confronting her. She looked taken back "No..it was just a bad coincidence I swear Lex.." she said. I stared at her trying to weight the truth but I got nothing. I sighed heavily then rubbed my temples. "why are you even stressing out with that girl?she hurt you Lex.." Costia commented. "Costia not now.." i said weakly. "why? Is it because you're still in love with her?!" Costia said with anger in her voice. I moved away from her and turned to her harshly. "you don't know what you're saying.. She's an Arkadian Queen the second strongest kingdom., if she was lost or harmed under my lands then surely war will start!! This is not about you and me or me and her!" i said angrily. I never raised my voice at her until now. I never thought how immature she deal with this kind of situation. She became teary eyed." can you please just leave me for a moment I can't deal with this right now.. I have a lot on my plate already" I said while walking away. "as you wish my Queen." She said sarcastically then I heard retreating footsteps and banging of the door. I walked towards the balcony and inhaled the fresh air trying to contain my emotions from bursting out. Why do you keep on doing this to me Clark.. I had a good life after you and in just a matter of seconds you turned my years without you into nothing.. Its like things never changed in the past. I regret what I did to you.. But I still couldn't forget what you did to me..

Anya

We were in the west forest searching for Clark the last witnesses said that they've seen her going inside the forest that's why we're here searching for her. Thunder began to roar then rain poured. I became more and more worried each second passed. "Lady Anyaaaaaa we found the Queen!!!" one warrior said. I immediately ran towards him and saw Clark on his arms almost lifeless without hesitation I grabbed her from him and dashed towards the castle not minding the heavy rain. The warriors in the castle noticed me and immediately opened the gates, I ran fast going to the infirmary, i pushed the double doors and shouted at the doctors they immediately tend to me and I put Clark on the stretcher, I could not hear her breathing, her lips is pale and she's almost dead cold. "DO SOMETHING!!!!" I commanded. I heard the banging of the double doors and saw the grounder Queen gasp as she saw Clark's state. It seemed she was already alerted by the warriors. "Lexa.." i called her weakly. She struggled to step forward and walk towards me. Her face showed shock, worried and pain. We were ushered outside as the doctors attached machines on Clark "no i won't leave her." Lexa stubbornly said as she swipe off the nurse's hand. "your highness please.." she begged. "Lexa let's just wait outside.." i said convincing her. "Anya... What have I done.." and for the first time in a long time I saw how the stoic grounder Queen broke down and cry. I supported her shivering body as we walk out of the infirmary. I saw frantic Octavia and Luna ran towards us like wild animals. "where is she?" "is she okay?" "what happened" "oh god.." they talked almost in unison. Lexa supported herself on the wall, she had her head down as she cried silently. I signalled the two to quiet down and pointed Lexa's state. "wow.. Its actually good to see you grieve for once.." Octavia sarcastically commented. "shut up Octavia! You don't even know what Lexa has been through..." I said to her defending Lexa for even though she's stupid and stubborn I also saw how she struggled during the time her and Clark are together. "Clark is also at fault in this situation .." i continued defending Lexa. "Anya.." Lexa warned me. "no Lex I think its time to reveal all the secrets we have in the past.. I'm tired of keeping shits!" i said angrily. "You pissed me off Octavia! You hated Lexa for cheating when in fact Clark started it first with the Arkadian General! Bellamy!" Octavia gasp in shock then her eyes reflected anger "Clark and Bellamy?!? Are you out of your minds?!? That's why you asked last time if Clark had an affair.. Did you honestly think she is capable of doing that to Lexa?!?!? Even if she's always away taking care of her kingdom and her mother all she ever longed for was going home.. Back to your arms Lex.. She worked day and night just to fasten the days and get the job done so that she could finally be with you.. She's juggling both ends, she's worried about her mother, worried about you and her kingdom.. So tell me why is she at fault when all she ever did was trying to get home to you.. And when she finally did.. You were already moving on.. You were already with someone else.."Octavia said with pain in her voice. Her eyes became teary." If she really did cheated on you then why did your baby ever formed in the first place? Or did you forgot how our race works? "Octavia asked making us held our breath. Realization hit us.. Arkadians who is either with same sex relationships was rewarded with miracles if their love is unconditional.." you killed your own baby because of your stupidity! You didn't even confronted her in the first place! You didn't even try to fix it!!" i heard Lexa whispering "no.. No.." while crying. She was slowly slipping on the wall and end up kneeling on the cold pavement. Me and Luna look at the helpless Queen with sad eyes. "Then this could only mean one thing.. Everything is a fucking setup. Clark was set up for you to break the marriage." Octavia said suddenly making us look at her. Lexa gasp and we all fell into deep silence. Who would do such a cruel thing. "it seems your right Octavia.. Maybe it's time for you to call your general.. Bellamy." Lexa said with a clenched jaw, her eyes became deadly as she stood up regaining her composture.
