Jealous Much?

Realizing that Darnel just standing there, I tried to make me and Michael conversation a little bit faster. Him staring at me was getting uncomfortable, so I did the thing that makes a situation less awkward.. " Hey Mike, this is my friend Darnel ", " Darnel this is my ex boyfriend Michael " still looking at me with the bitch did I ask you to introduce me? Face he stuck his hand out and said " nice to meet you man" putting his hand out Michael said " same here ". If you can picture their faces, you know that I didn't make anything less awkward. " so uh, Alex it was great seeing you, let me put my number in your phone for we can talk later?" Looking at Michael say that sentence had my mind racing, knowing that Darnel was here with me I felt bad that he had to see me respond back saying " sure.. but my number is still the same so you can just text me" The only reason I'm letting him text me is because Michael is the cool ex that 50% of people normally come across, he not that ex that most people call toxic and be wanting to kill every time they see each other. Our relationship ended because I became so busy, and he became so busy we both put our work before us, we cared about other things besides our relationship, I honestly think it was just best for us to be friends. Saying goodbye to Michael was the best words Darnel probably ever heard me say because he cut me off before I can even finish. " Ight man, be smooth" is what this man said, looking at him like he crazy all I can say was..

Alex - " Ight man, be smooth.. really D?"
Darnel - "what ? Y'all ass was talking tooooo much"
Alex - " boy, we said like 3 words to each other"
Darnel - " more like 50, why I couldn't receive that energy like he did with trying to get yo number?"
Alex - " jealous much? But nawl its because you're my client, you know this "
Darnel - "Jealooooousssssssssssss? "

Alex - "who you think you are? Soulja boy?.. yeah mf jealous "
Darnel - " girl , you know my name.. don't play with me "
Alex - and apparently you know mines.

After waiting in that long line, finally getting back home. I thought I'll be nice and cook some food to thank Darnel once again for helping me get my grocery, I mean it's the least I can do since he didn't eat breakfast this morning. " Since you helped and took me to go get some food, make yourself comfortable again because I'm gonna make us some lunch" looking at me with a smile on his face, he said " thank you" just nodding back to him, I guess he couldn't help himself because he also said in a playing matter " I got my therapist cooking food for me" turning back I look at him n stick my middle finger up and said " don't flatter yourself, I'm giving yo ass cereal" while both of us is laughing, I was grabbing the food of what I wanted to cook, I was in the mood for something quick, so I made some chicken stripes with fries.
Finishing up, I ask Darnel what dressing did he want, " Ranch or BBQ sauce?" His ass replied back and said " Neither, but I'll take some ketchup" in my head I'm like this man better use this ketchup for his fries and not them damn strips, while tossing him the ketchup he aimed for both foods.. looking at him like he lost his damn mind I just had to ask " You don't like ranch?" Him shaking his head because his mouth was full, I just knew right then and there that this man was disgusting.
Turning my fire stick on, Darnel say " you one of those people who don't touch they food, until they find something good to watch huh" me laughing & smiling I shock my head and said " yeah, gotta have a good show or movie to watch.. it make the food even better" turning on Martin we both sat back on the couch in started to finish the rest of our food.

Darnel - "that shit was good Alex"
Alex - Than... ALEX?? Did you just call me alex?"
Darnel - * laughing* why you so weird man, that's yo name right ? " laughing still *
Alex - I mean yeahh.. but you always call me Alexandra
Darnel - lol I can switch it up?, unless you like it when I call you that
Alex - I mean.. it's whatever..
Darnel - lol.. mhmm

While still watching Martin.. Darnel grab the remote and turned the tv off.. " why the hell you just do that?" I said with an attitude, " I wanna get to know you more " thinking about what he just said made my stomach feel weird, he made me nervous and when I get nervous my nose burn. Pulling away from my thoughts, I build up the courage and asked " what you wanna know" thinking about my dream I just hope and pray he don't ask about my love life, cause I simply don't wanna have to actually tell him that. " I wanna know everything about you.. you can start off with the basics, I'm not gonna force you into telling me something you don't wanna tell though, so don't overthink it" with him being so understanding it actually made me want to have this conversation with him. "'Well, I'm 23 years old, I have my own apartment.. I'm a well known therapist, I love my job and also my clients they is what keeping me going. I have a little sister name jasmine, she is now a sophomore in college majoring in psychology, she is following my footsteps and I'm so proud of her for furthering her education. Umm what else ? My favorite color is red.. I love dogs, If I could I can play the game all day, I'm a lowkey game head, umm I love eating, cooking is something I really don't do as much, but I can cook my ass off. I love staying at home, I don't really do so much partying like I use to, umm I'm single... that's really all.. honestly " Seeing Darnel just look at me after I got done talking I didn't realize that I just really sat up here n just rambled at the mouth, knowing he don't really care about me talking as much, because he the one that asked me a question I just felt like I over talked. " are you going to say something or just continue to look at me?" " My bad, I couldn't help to just notice how you left out you being so beautiful" .. blushing in the inside all Alex can do is just bring the inside to the outside, Darnel is just so sweet she can no longer hide the emotions he made her feel. " Thank you Darnel, I haven't heard that in so long, you actually lowkey kinda sorta made my night" she said while laughing.
BEEEP BEEEP..
"Ooo, is that my phone or yours? They said looking for their phones.. BEEP BEEP.. as it rings louder, Darnel finally finds his phone and the name that pop up on the screen was " London" texting his phone back to back he shows me the messages and says " this is why I don't wanna be with her ass anymore "
London - where tf you at?
London - I went by to crib, you wasn't there last night and still not there!
London - you a bitch made ass nigga
London - I'm sorry, I didn't mean that
London - fuck you Darnel, I don't gotta go through this shit with you.
London - you probably with another bitch right now.

Shaking his head, he gets irritated and tells Alex that he's gonna go, and that he also had a great time with her. " same here, it was fun. " Alex said, kinda sad about him leaving. Locking the door behind him, she is now bored.. she goes back on the couch and decides to take a little nap..
